what does network speed really mean?
what does it mean if I mine a pool less than 1 GH/s net. speed or more than 1 GH/s?

"In a nutshell, the network works like a distributed
timestamp server, stamping the first transaction to spend a coin. It
takes advantage of the nature of information being easy to spread but
hard to stifle." -- Satoshi

Network hashrate means the hashrate of the entire network. Mining at what pool shouldn't make a difference in the long term.

What do you mean? Do you mean to see if the coin is good?

What do you mean? Do you mean to see if the coin is good? yes, that is what I mean. Well, all coins start with a low hashrate, but if it's a lot, then it means that others also like the coin and are mining it. What you should look out for is that there is as less premine as possible, and that it has something that is actually new.

Preferably no IPO and no premine, but that's just my personal opinion. If it's something that actually contributes to the world like PrimeCoin, that would be great. If there's nothing new and it's just copied, like YinYangCoin and many others, then it's rubbish.
