I am trying to mine GG after a long stop but after I upload GG, it just stuck in the updating of blocks.  No way I can update.  I tried on 3 separate computers.  Is GG dead?

It could be...

I was running GG on a linux box with a gig of ram but GG quickly exceeded that causing the box to swap non-stop.

I switched to a Windows box with 12gigs of ram but since GG runs as a 32-bit process it can't exceed 2 gigs of ram.  Once GG got to 2 gigs it crashed and it won't come back.  I think the downloaded block chain is now corrupted.

At this point the only way you're going to run is on a 64-bit client.

At some point bitcoin and the other chains will grow to this same size and will have the same problems.  I'm hoping someone comes up with a fix for GG that can be applied to the rest.

I am running 64 bit but I ran out of connections. If all the coins are going to run into this it might be they try to keep entire blockchain in RAM or something? If it is something all will eventually run into I guess someone will fix it in one of them sometime. In meantime I had to shut down GeiestGeld for now.

I'm fairly sure there was a transaction spam or something similar.

What do you get when you cross dominoes and The Matrix?

Does it mean it is dead?
