I'm mining on Viabtc for almost a month but the reward for pps+ is a bit low compared on mining on ethermine. I just want to know if I switch to pplns will improve the reward on Viabtc?

ViaBTC is one of my favourite, my advice is don't depend on a single pool, I use up to three pools and I'm always on mining calculator to figure out which pool is more profitable to mine today then I switch and wait for another day when Viabtc becomes the more profitable pool to mine

I cant mine on different pool because the payout its not instant like on ethermine you need to reach 0.1 eth to be able to withdraw. Im just a small miner that looking for better or fair profit.

And the problem is they don't give the MEV+ reward unlike other pool like ethermine that is why you can earn high rewards on ethermine.

My purpose is to know if I can earn more in Viabtc if I switch to Pplns?

PPS is a guaranteed payout, the pool takes the risk.
PPLNS is a scheme to try to discourage pool hopping.
Proportional is what I prefer because I get exactly what I mine without
any tinkrering by the pool.

I can't say what's more profitable.

all pplns has variance. can be huge.

ie  you could get 85% of what you should get over a months time.

so if you mined at ethermine while it had a hot streak you may be paid 115% or what you should have been paid.

viabtc pps+ is a flat rate it is guaranteed.

think of it this way.

pps pays 100 bucks and it is certain
pplns should pay 101 bucks but has variance.

so pplns could pay 80 one month and 120 the next.

if it all runs perfectly with exact precision pplns should pay 1 or 2 % more

the fact of the matter,is it does not run that way.

and i  no longer do pplns as the variance with a 5000 dollar power bill can be a hassle.

I run via btc pps+ for the last 3 years. i dont care if i lose out a small bit as i never worry about variance.

So I can earn more in pplns if the network gas fee is high? It could be 120% or 85% depending on the network fee and block rewards?

It seems the gas fee right now is pretty low and stable so pplns in not a good choice. I tried it in a week I got low rewards compared to pps+.
