every image host i use i try to put direct link in image tags http:// and it says "bitcointalk.org image proxy: invalid image", but the image works fine on any other forum, how do i get an image to show
The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Image has to exist and be under 1.5mb, if i remember correctly. If it is online and under that file size, typically it's just a temp SNAFU.

In your case, the image is not using a valid URL. Means you're copying/pasting it incorrectly or bitcointalk is blocking that image host for some reason. Try imgur.com

Your link as it shows now - https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2F&t=540&c=lFzNBdfiQBeBzg

Have you tried to host the images with imgur.com?
Then you just have to copy/paste the link in the forum, it works for sure because I use this method.

well this is because from some domains Bitcointalk will not upload your img - security reasons perhaps too.

If you will find reliable source for image it will display correctly.

best way to upload your own images is to upload them into some free ftp server (hostinger.com for ex.) and well you know  the rest Smiley

Then you will have a server from which all of the right images will upload with no problems.

Smiley that's the problem.

Try to upload this example image and you will see that it works ...

just add
Code:
[img][/img]
brackets.

http://s16.postimg.org/676tajnxf/image.jpg is not an image, despite the name. It's an HTML page.

The image proxy is not often wrong. If it says "invalid image", then your image is probably invalid.

Yes well indeed ... I saw that redirection but after he posted :

Code:
[img]http://s21.postimg.org/3wc230djb/well_done.jpg[/img]

Code:
[img]http://s16.postimg.org/676tajnxf/image.jpg[/img]

I went confused as links looks similar and from one of them image was showing correctly on the forum, second was not.

But indeed
Code:
[img]http://s16.postimg.org/676tajnxf/image.jpg[/img]
is redirecting instead of
Code:
[img]http://s21.postimg.org/3wc230djb/well_done.jpg[/img]
this one, which is truly a direct link to an image.

Use a different browser. A lot of image sites will store cookies in your browser. Those cookies pretty much say "load the image directly rather than the HTML page" so the user doesn't even notice he's sharing the site. (It's really to prevent hotlinking)
