Running Bitmining Utilities at Low Priority 24/7?

Hey guys,
I was wondering if running a Bitmining utility with the lowest priority setting would allow you to run it 24/7 without debilitating the end user whatsoever.

Seems rather unlikely to me. I imagine if it is possible, it would only work for CPU miners instead of GPU miners?

I ask this because there a switch in the Auslogics defrag tool that defrags people's PCs without the end user noticing the slightest difference in performance during the defrag. It was pretty astonishing to me.

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Why? Are you trying to run some covert bitcoin mining operation on machines that don't quite belong to you?

Also, with five IO priorities introduced with Windows Vista any disk-heavy application, like a defragmenter or AV, can be made unobtrusive.

Are you saying that Windows XP doesn't have as much as powerful priority settings compared to Vista and 7?

Not talking about CPU priority. I'm talking about IO priority which was a newly introduced feature in Vista.

I run cgminer 24/7 and both work full time using my computer with no ill effects and no special settings.

What bitcoinsarefun said. I keep cgminer running 24/7, and only notice a bit of slow-down in graphics-intensive games or running HD video.
