Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

0.9.2 (final) has not been released. What is available is a release candidate for testing.

Bitcoin Core developer [PGP] Warning: For most, coin loss is a larger risk than coin theft. A disk can die any time. Regularly back up your wallet through FileBackup Wallet to an external storage or the (encrypted!) cloud. Use a separate offline wallet for storing larger amounts.

Not sure if this is done on purpose, but the src tarball inside this download:
https://bitcoin.org/bin/0.9.2/test/bitcoin-0.9.2rc1-linux.tar.gz

is missing a lot of stuff from the contrib directory (manpages for example), compared
to this one: https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/archive/v0.9.2rc1.tar.gz

Yes, it includes only selected stuff from the repository, not everything. Including the man page would make sense.
This is determined by the makefiles as the source tar is produced using 'make dist'.
