Lets make bounty found in cloaks , and pay all that we will be able to gather to guy/group who will find haker involved in stealling those cloaks (they should also provide evidence of guilt of that guy), so we will be able to call police to take him down.

What do you think ??

It's an important attitude to be taken. Stealing is the worst crime and must be punished. The community has to be supportive of it's members, and be very severe against hackers and scammers.

So, maybe someone from development team would manage this wallet on which donations for bounty can be made. I suggest development team coz , people would like to have some level certainty that these founds will not be defrauded.
[/quote]

best way to do it is for the person who lost the BTC to offer say 20% of the returned BTC as a bounty  Wink seen it happen on another hack recently and the thief got in contact.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

The lul worthy part of it... the hacker did it totally wrong.  He could have just cashed out the Cloak directly. Saved themselves about $10000+ in the panic buy/sell process. Staked the coins until PoSA came out and moved it without anybody ever knowing where it went.

Hackers usually have some level of technological apprehension.

Anyone want to sell me 100-200 btc worth of cloak?

PM if interested.

Unless you trust me or have dealt with me in the past an escrow will need to be used.

Also, I'm not paying 220K either.

I'm trying to give anyone who wants out of cloak the opportunity to do so without to much slippage.

Could it be some accounts compromised?  Huh

Cloak
2014-08-03 16:13:29   SELL   0.00161119   11196.85648015   18.04026319

MYC
2014-08-03 16:14:03   BUY   0.00000120   60387626.50833333   72.46515181

Cloak Sold
114.7 BTC

MYC Bought
110.5 BTC

Be careful, guys!

If this was a mintpal hack again... it will be the death of it!  That's too many times.

Someone got probably hacked, the hacker bought his own MYC with the victim's BTC because he couldn't access the victim's email.
That's what I think.

make sense.

1. hack account
2. see all that juicy BTC, but with no email, ou can't withdrawal
3.fire up own account
4. use own account, buy a ton of shit scam coin.
5. set high sell order for you shit coin, equal in BTC to amount in hacked account
6. log back into hacked account, buy the scam coin using the btc in hacked account.
7. hacked account is left with scam shit coin
8. your own account is stocked with over 100 BTC.
9. withdrawal 100 BTC
10. Hookers and Blow

successful hack is extremely successful.

Is this what happened? Can anyone give me a detailed summary of exactly what happened?

Is there 2Fa and mail confirmation on mintpal to make a withdrawal? It just makes sense when you need this 2 steps + password.

But it was a nice chance to buy some cloaks.

yes offcourse, just woke up to see someone got hacked. Not a few dollars but quite an amount, people shouldn't be calling the guy who took them a hacker but a thief. He's not a hacker either, probably infected the victim with malware got access to his mintpal account and email...etc
