go the trolly boy ! Lulz. This has nothing to do with failure - the coin has done more in the last 3 weeks than most coins have done in 6 months. What you're witnessing on the exchanges is people getting lifted upside down from a park bench and shaken until all their cloaks are gone. Once the bullies have hit their mark the price will go back up. Mintpal definitely seems to have the weakest holders of cloak they are giving them away like candy. On the other hand Bittrex holders seem to be holding their position. I know from experience I traded for almost 48 hours straight to get into the #3 spot. |

Don't be surprised when this coin is being traded at $20+ a coin in the very near future because it will be a direct product of communication from the dev camp along with updates to the development cycle. |

Can someone help me please ? Yesterday my wallet was synced and staking all off a sudden it stopped syncing on Wed 25. Jun 11:22:32 2014 block 31136 and now it will not sync and the stakes are stuck ! Can anyone advise me ?

went through the same. Apparently fork on mintpal. Only way to recover for me was: 1. Make copy of wallet.dat -DO NOT MISS THIS else coin gone 2. Get rid of the entire appdata\roaming\cloakcoin folder 3. Run the wallet 4. stop it and copy your saved wallet.dat back in 5. create a cloakcoin.conf file in the appdata\roaming\cloakcoin folder 6. add some nodes eg this is the content of my file: addnode=cloak.blockexplorer.cc addnode=108.166.185.202 addnode=95.57.120.229 addnode=69.175.37.134 addnode=128.199.178.172 addnode=204.11.237.74 addnode=54.76.17.223 addnode=83.5.174.97 addnode=208.84.132.253 7. Run the wallet again and let it sync I had to restart it a couple of times to get the sync to complete If your coins don't show (happened to me) : go to debug console and enter and run repairwallet Should be good after that |

Now the weak and impatient will leave which is good, because they were only going to flash dump at profit anyway. We will be left with an extremely strong base of investors who will continue to hold and facilitate growth for the long term, which we need to mature the coin.
Compare blackcoin which matured too late, with darkcoin which matured close to the top of the run-up and is still in that process
So.. A week to scrape together any funds I can!

Exactly. I was actually one of the first major investors/miners in Darkcoin (day 1). I kept the majority of my holdings throughout the ups and downs and ended up making a killing recently - we're talking 20,000% type killing. As long as the top holders have strong hands this coin will see its way to the $50-100 mark in no time. One of the reasons why DRK is where it is today is because the holders still believe in the developer and the technology so it will hold firm until they see a better opportunity (I already have). Given the rarity of this coin in comparison to DRK with only 1/4 of the supply and a superior approach to anontech - there is no reason why the value shouldn't be 4-5x the current value of DRK. The inclusion of the Cloakroad could see this going passed to the .5 BTC range. If you compare the DRK richlist ( http://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/#!rich) the accumulation is starting to look very similar. |
