I was wondering if anyone could please help me with this:

The mined coins appeared last week (when I was using Windows Wallet 1.9.4) but were neither confirmed nor changed to "not accepted", and just stayed there as:
"Unconfirmed (0 of 4 confirmations) Generated but not accepted Mined"

I upgraded my wallet to 1.9.6 yesterday but this transaction is still there, doing nothing. I'm pretty sure I'm on the right blockchain (block explorer matches with my wallet).

Any ideas? Might just be one of those things.

Sure. The problem is that the mined transaction (2014-7-7) happened before the POS patch on block 59680 (2014-07-12)

Same happening here...since I updated the wallet all my stake went unconfirmed, not accepted.

Run "repairwallet" in debug window.

Hey Everyone.  I am having some difficulty in synching the new wallet and wondered if anyone can help me figure this out.  I had some trouble recently with another wallet and solved that issue with a 'repairwallet' command within the console.  I am not having the same success using this command within the Cloak wallet.

Wallet is encrypted but unlocked and is the new MAC download that is available on MEGA.

Thanks anyone that can help with this.

- I am about break-even now, a little bit on the bright side.. I wouldn't hesitate buying more at these levels, but I am committed already Wink

- Now could be one of the last moments to really get in this train... but of course people decide for themselves!

- Earlier I was thinking of selling high, and buying back low later, but then I decided that this coin is too important to get involved in risky "trade games", (because of Murphy's law you are bound to get burned)... So now my tactic is to buy more at dips, and hold. I leave the day trading for other coins.

Is there a read me or help file for the wallet anywhere? Trying to understand how / why amounts move back and forth  between balance and staking and what if any control there is over that. Thx for any feedback.

To anyone worried that staking isn't working on 1.9.6, here's my wallet: http://i61.tinypic.com/28c389h.png

As you can see, a few of the transactions are grayed-out (everything from 7/12). This seems to be the problem a bunch of people have been facing. This happens when you are able to mine coins but aren't connected long enough afterward to complete the 4 confirmations that are required.

Additonally: Help with Syncing
If you've read any of my past posts, I had problems syncing my wallet for a while. I was able to fix this by going to these two files (blk0001.dat, blkindex.dat), deleting them, and then restarting my wallet. (Note: I also had to execute the 'repairwallet' command in the console to get my balance to update)

I just wanted to clear up any of my contributions to FUD and help anyone facing the same problems I did.

For the purposes of transaprency this is EXACTLY where we are at right now.

PoSA:

Latest dev build 1.9.7.1 for some reason keeps crashing seednode (wallet) the moment we try to download blockchain from it. PoSA dev will get this problem resolved and we can get to the next stage.

OneMarket:

Coding has begun on interface and we'll soon be making videos with x11joe to track developments.

I knew this was gona happen. I called it 10+ pages back.

If dev delays PoSA one more time (after the whole "within 12 hours" announcement) the value was going to drop significantly. Low and behold, we're currently hovering @ 75-77k sat. Im not going to bother mentioning why people are panic selling..i think its quite obvious at this point.

I will say though that this could've easily been prevented with a demonstration video from the devs like what they usually do.

I will take into account that it is "Bloody Monday" and disregard the current price...but if we dont hear anything by tomorrow.....

edit: Ninja'd by Dagger....nice to have gotten an update. Not what I was hoping for, but at this point, better than nothing....

To be honest I'm a little disappointed to hear about "regulations" in OneMarket.  I thought the idea was a decentralized "anything goes" type market.  You can't control what people do with it.  The beauty is unlike a hidden Tor site, you cannot shut it down.  Even hidden Tor services have a single point of seizure (server), but OneMarket would not live in any one place, like the blockchain.  You would not be able to arrest the cloak team because they aren't actually hosting anything, no one is. This = freedom from censorship and rules.

If you ban illegal drugs, I'm sorry but you are missing out on millions of dollars of Cloak that could be transacted per year.  Why have an elaborate anonymous marketplace if I'm buying PS4?  I think the key thing here is freedom, freedom to buy and sell what we please in a place that cannot be controlled by an entity.  People can already buy/sell illegal things anonymously without OneMarket

It's a tough spot to be in though, because I do disagree with illegal drugs, child porn, guns, etc.  But I will be showing my disagreement by not buying and supporting sellers thay sell these things with OneMarket.

It's easy for you to say this, as you are not going to be the one going to prison for making this.  And I am getting the general vibe that many people here want OneMarket to be the new Silk Road.  This is really dangerous for the developers, guys.

I see your point, however isn't that like arresting someone that created some video editing software because someone else used it to edit child porn?  The software itself isn't doing anything illegal, the people using it would be. The Devs are not selling anything illegal, nor are they profiting from it if the listing fees go to the miners, nor are they hosting it like a website or something.

OneMarket could have the option of "blocking" certain listings from being viewed by the user.  If I don't want to see illegal drugs on OneMarket, I can simply block that category or key word and my OneMarket experience will be like those listings never existed

Ah, now we get into the legal theories of criminal liability.  First, look at what is happening to Ross William Ulbricht, operator of Silk Road.

You are of course right in your video editing software example, because no thought went into it as to how to customize it toward editing videos illegal in nature, and there is probably nothing that can be customized in this fashion.

But if you create software that is specifically customized to facilitate illegal activity, this is a totally different situation.  Now, anonymity on its own isn't so bad, but it is going to be a little bit of a picket fence type situation.  One picket does not make it a fence, but keep adding pickets, and soon it becomes a picket fence.

Edit:  one afterthought - silk road was a centralized system, and this will be decentralized, but still danger here
