hello I am a noobie, I don't know much about bitcoins but I was wondering if I could trade some unwanted giftcards that I received as a present for bitcoins.. I understand I have low reputation and I was just wondering if its possible with such low reputation/post count

It's possible, but you'll have to give a steep discount on the gift cards to make it worth the risk. You'll also probably have to use an escrow service.
What cards are you getting rid of?

I've got 2 walmart gift cards for $50 each I'd be willing to sell them cheap to someone with good reputation.. and I don't mind waiting to receive the bitcoins |

Sorry for double post, but when you sell a giftcard, do you have to mail it? Or can you just give them the code on the back of the card

Most can be used online, which means you just have to scratch off the code on the back and use that and the number on the front. Check on the website of the company the gift card is for, and if they have a place to input a gift card code during checkout, then they accept them online. |

As SgtSpike mentioned, some cards can be spent online. But with the prepaid card trading services listed in the link I gave most will want the card to be mailed in.
