Hey guys
What miner should I use? Is minergate any good? Is it slower? Are fees higher ? I have no idea what is the difference. Help is much appreciated
For 2 gb cards claymore's, for 4gb and more better sgminer-gm. I had a lot of problems trying to run sgminer-gm so I stuck to claymore. I have 2 win 7 x64 rigs with 15.12 drivers, and both rigs are mostly 290s or 290Xs, but each rig also has 1 380 on it. I think sgminer-gm didn't like either the 15.12 drivers or the fact that I didn't have all the same GPUs on each rig. Claymore "just works". Sgminer-gm seems to require quite a bit of skill in setting different parameters and I found it confusing and read conflicting information about how best to define the parameters. If I could spend more time learning to use sgminer-gm I would love to try it but as I said - I found it difficult to set up correctly. Do you have any suggestions about where to learn how to use sgminer-gm properly? You assumption about 15.12 is correct. Use AMD drivers 16.9.2 or higher. The following works for 380x: set GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0 set GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100 set GPU_MAX_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 set GPU_MAX_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 sgminer -k cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://monerohash.com:7777 -u ADDRESS -p x --rawintensity 512 -w 4 -g 2 --gpu-engine 1040 --gpu-memclock 1625 --auto-fan --temp-target 80 --no-submit-stale --no-extranonce With my modded 380x I get 730 h/s. Can't speak for 290. But for 280x:--rawintensity 896 -w 8 -g 1 --gpu-engine 1070 --gpu-memclock 1550 Both yields better than the CM miner. Sorry, Claymore, I've always used your miners but you've been passed up. You have good bios for R9 380x whats results for 280x? --rawintensity 896 -w 8 -g 1 --gpu-engine 1070 --gpu-memclock 1550 ?

Hello, im actually having some trouble using claymore. I have a AMD Radeon 5800 and installed claymore to mine with my gpu. Im also using minergate miner to CPU mine. But claymore is being responsible for 4 invalid shares in less than 24hs and this gave me a negative balance. At first i tought it could be the heat since claymore was showing 80C on my gpu. I set -tt to 50 and -fanmax to 100 and this solved the temperature problem, its now running at 60C. But even after fixing the cooling i got another invalid share and had to turn off claymore because it was making me lose money. Is it because my GPU is an old model? Is there anyway i can fix it?
Thnx a lot in advance.

I'm seeing a very weird behavior with my MSI 8gb rx480s. I started a miner and got stable 750h/s at 1350/2250 After reboot i started the miner again and it gives me 480 h/s now. Restarted miner and get 300h/s Restarted a few more times and back to 480h/s
I'm using MSI afterburber on win10. I killed wattman process. Card is using 100% power and seems to be running at set clock speeds.
Config: -a 4 -h 1024 set virtual memory to 16gb-20gb before running the miner i run: setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
Any ideas?

Any chance we could get an update for the RX4xxx cards?
It's unusable for me at the moment as after a short while it switches the fans on my Sapphire 470 & 480's to 100% (although this isn't reported in Afterburner).

with sapphire 280x hynix AFR I have 640Hs 1100/1625 mod bios, Sapphire 280x Elpida BBBg 605Hs same clock mod bios.
I can approach that, too, but not without eventual HW errors with sgminer, that is why I said, "stable." Out of curiosity, with what miner and config, drivers, etc. do you use for those results?

I have 6 x msi rx470 4gb, had problems 100% fan and fan stop working on drivers 16.9.2 win10pro. After installing 16.11.4 fan errors gone, but I have another bug, one rig frezes after hour or two mining. I'm mining eth and etc for now, until some fix or update comes.

How are you hashing that high with those? Custom BIOS? I'm hashing 640 on 480 8GB cards and dream of achieving that. Also, I would like to confirm that I had fan issues as well. If my fans were on auto, two of the six cards would go at a higher fan rate and the other would stay the same. Another issue that I've had was those same two cards that would fluctuate fan speed, would sometimes not have their fans spinning, and hashing at 100%. I have figured out that it was MSI Afterburner causing the issues with the fans. Once I removed AB, fans now are auto, but don't fluctuate up and down. I am now using Wattman to OC/UV. Claymore 9.6/9.7 had these issues. Driver is 16.9.2. Win 10. Did test next driver up, same issue, but have not gone further with updates.

It is super unstable on RX 480 here too. Claymore actually promised to make an update after he will be done with ZEC miner. ZEC miner is done - so Claymore, please!

Use the pixel clock patch. It will sort the issue out for you and the cards will get detected. https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-AMD-ATI-Pixel-Clock-PatcherGood Luck!
