@Claymore are we going to see some updates for this miner now that you have mastered ASM?

I also hope that you will update the cpu version so that one can mine to the same secure pool.

Hi
There is a linux version working with nicehash ?

best regards

Olivier

Hope Claymore can update v9.7 or future miner for Linux.

v9.7 Windows works well with Nicehash (no 100% rejects).

The only Linux miner working with Nicehash Cryptonight is sgminer-gm-NH-v5.5.5.7

I use this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1541084.msg17904216#msg17904216

If I provided you good and useful info or just a smile to your day, consider sending me merit points to further validate this Bitcointalk account ~ useful for future account recovery...

i notice something else what is strange

when i put memory to 1900 start the miner is hash around 750mh
when i increase the memory to 2000 (hash speed stay the same)
i close the miner start the miner again with 2000  i get 800mh (at 2000 it s unstable gpu crash after few minutes)
but i decrease the memory to 1900 it s till hashing at 800  (but same computer crash few minute later)

but why is that ?  does the miner lock the memory speed ?

I got the same thing, changing memory speed while miner has already been run has no effect on the hashing speed.
I actually got it on ETH miner as well (only on 470 and only on one machine)... confusing.

Today across every pool I tried, on both of my rigs, Claymore 9.7 has started submitting bad shares, wrecking my unconfirmed balances on all the pools, actually putting me into negative balance.

WTF is going on?

also the last driver i can use is 16.11.3,  16.11.4 and above they not working, i got a yellow ? on the driver
same happen with win 7 and 10  Huh

but is ok 16.11.3 is working fine, no fan bug

Its cause of custom bios I think. Use the pixel clock patch. It will sort the issue out for you and the cards will get detected.
https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-AMD-ATI-Pixel-Clock-Patcher

Good Luck!

Deffo not because of custom BIOS.

XFX RX470 (unmodded)
Crim 16.9.2
Win 10
Clay 9.7

After about 30 minutes, fan goes to 100%, followed by Windows freeze up.

Are you using minergate? I had this problem when I tried wolf miner after claymore and my balance was munched up by invalid shares  Angry

i also had invalid shares with claymore on minergate. im using a radeon 5800 and tought it could be because its kinda old GPU.
i think im done with claymore, unfortunattely.

Is this patch for when the fans spin up to 100% for no reason on AMD cards?

Any chance we could get an update for the RX4xxx cards?

It's unusable for me at the moment as after a short while it switches the fans on my Sapphire 470 & 480's to 100% (although this isn't reported in Afterburner).

this miner is fkdup and probably doesn't know how to count hashes. if you start it, then close it and then start again it may often improve your hashrate 2-3%
sgminer doesn't give me that much crap.

EDIT:  for polaris I think the "-a 4 -h 1024" is the most stable. Still sgminer does better, I'm getting stable (~2%rejects) 705-710h for weeks(mixed 370 & 470 rig) on modded UV rx470 @about 900mv, core=1150 mem=1950 slightly less power than 9.7 with unstable 689-705) I have also one win10 where 9.7 won't even start, while 9.6 runs fine.

i want to build a second rig and want to use MSI RADEON RX 480 GAMING X 8G this time , are these cards as good as the saphires ??
and is there a difference in mining speed between 4Giga and 8Giga versions?

I have 6 of the 8GB versions and have tested the 4GB.

Stock settings 4GB hash at ~600, 8GB hash at ~640. The MSI gaming x IMO have the best fans. So quiet and tremendous cooling. Definitely recommend.

No. I can't even tweak the 8GB versions. Honestly, when I try to adjust settings, the rig crashes. And I've tried AB and Wattman. I can OC with Eth no problem. I'm still trying to figure out if it's my settings, or Claymore's software it self.  For RX cards, it just gets by. This miner needs an update badly.

Hmm it should be faster with flashing the BIOS. How much power your rig takes from the wall,?

Got R9 290 (Elpida memory) for a test. Gets around 400h/s on nicehash, the same on minergate. I'd say I expected better hashrate. PS 450W, Intel Core CPU, win7 SP1, 8Gb RAM, driver version 21.19.407.0. Thing is the card while mining is used simultaneously with internal Intel graphics that outputs the graphics (connected to the monitor, whereas R9 is not connected).

Is it the normal hashrate that is to be expected or too low? Please, answer this

it says GPU recognised as Radeon 270/270x 2 Mb. Could you kindly give me some command line parameters (not intended to use it at its fullest, I use low power usage -a 2 parameter which yields around 380 h/s)

Edited: oh, that was 9.3, but still too low. Gotta try 9.7.

Hey guys, just build a piece of my mining rig. I got 1 Rx 480 nitro + 8giga sapphire card up and running. Did a BIOS reflash of the 1750 timings to 2000 and for the rest no overclocking of the core speed. I get 708hz stable but I expected 750 minimum. My monitor is connected to the HDMI port...

How can I go faster ? Should I take the 1200 timing straps?

Currently I'm pulling ~900w with some undervolting.  May I ask if you could link the bios flash for XMR? I'd greatly appreciate it.
