Enabling Anonymous Connections to the Vootcoin Network using Tor Tor is a protocol allowing for online anonymity by directing network connections through a network composed of over five thousand relays. The Vidalia software allows for connections via a built in SOCKS proxy. Using this guide, you can enable Tor for your own Vootcoin wallet. Vootcoin: Step 1: Download the Tor proxy software Mac OS X – Follow the instructions here: https://www.torproject.org/docs/tor-doc-osx.html.en then skip to step 5. Linux – vootcoin.////linux_tor.tar Windows - vootcoin.////tor_win.zip Step 2: Unzip the software into an easily accessible folder. Step 3: Run tor.exe Step 4: Configure Vootcoin to access the network over the Tor proxy Go to Settings->Options->Network and fill in “Proxy IP:” with 127.0.0.1 and “Port:” with 9050. Step 6: You’re done! Restart the Vootcoin client and enjoy anonymous connections to the Vootcoin network. Download the Tor proxy software: https://mega.co.nz/#!tFkQmZ4B!HF12YqgG2g_WQiEydmTWS_QUEyfJ4RYfYBD4pn6h7iIThanks! Good update

hyberboria is just great Yeah Michael Jackson was ahead of his time with sleeping in one of those. Another idea to prevent peeking the nitesend transactions would be using encrypted communication. In this case, we could use for example hyperboria (cjdns) technology; combined with sync, that would mean all sync coins would have an own ipv6 address and an encrypted communication link! Nitesend transaction could be collected by sending the offers throught these kind of links, securing them from all peekers. Actually, the whole comunication between peers could be done throught private hyperboria network. I guess it would be better than TOR and vpn together.

Is anyone else having issues with the mac wallet?
I can't get the wallet to launch.
I have reached out to some mac people and they say that its likely the package files were mixed up.
They advised that I compile from the github source myself, but I am not having much luck with that cause I'm a noob.
anyone care to make a tutorial o step guide for mac, so we could have it when new mac users come looking for info. That would be much appreciated if someone did that. In the meantime, however, I am growing more certain that the package files are mixed up in the mac wallet download so really all that is needed is for the dev to recompile the package with the right files. I suppose the dev team will probably just wait and upload a brand new package shortly with an updated wallet version though.

I contacted themightyx and he said it seems like the package files got mixed up and that's why it won't launch, but he was busy busy so didn't offer much more insight than that.

Why Vootcoin is not in the voting list? for MintPal ? forget the mintpal voting list, we should look at asia, bter would be great. we need Mintpal to add us without votes but not too fast. Maybe another week Voted coins die quickly on mintpal. If they get there on their own merit, they only go up in value.

METH, JPC, IVC YC...all dead. Very few good ones last. just need a large following.
