Hey Mesterlovez!

Which ETH Wallet do i need? https://github.com/ethereum/mist/releases

Ethereum Wallet or Mist?

And how does this Token stuff work there? Hopefully you proved a full info how to setup all this with Goldreserve ....

You can use any ether wallet you which you have the private key! So MetaMask, Etherwallet, Mist, Parity, Myetherwallet.

On the fork page you will get a temporarily ethereum address and a private key and brainwallet. You can use that on any of those wallets.

One other thing, we are working on a multiwallet, which will host XGR tokens as well and you can use all the functions on a nice GUI interface. (the wallet will be online around end of this your or january)
Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

What are you going to do with the swapped GoldReserve Coins? Are they being burnt?

imo the old GoldReserve Coins should be burnt when they are swapped. Or maybe you can just make a snapshot of the blockchain at block x and fund all existing GoldReserve 1:1 on your new Token.

On the fork page you have to send your XGR coins to an address. Later, I will stop the node so the XGR coin blockchain will stop eventually.

Thanks for your infos! But I really have to say, burning the swapped XGR would be the better option! Who guarantees that you swap the coins and they will be still used later on? You'd have XGR (old Coins) + yours premine + The XGR Token). There are about 14 nodes online, I doubt that all nodes are yours? Maybe not everyone is swapping? XGR could still be alive for a long time. Please consider creating a real burning address for the swap. Thanks.

Yes, the swap is live now, but consider swaping on january as you can have some more coins during december, as you can open your wallet and have some interest!

In the meantime, you can check the page and see how it works: fork.goldreservecoin.com

I am looking for Pepperino84 user, who made a nice logo for our late logo contest. I want to use his logo, I am willing to pay him for the raw picture format. If you read this please read the private messages I sent to you and answer me.

Oh wow I totally forgot about this token after the BTC crash a few years ago. I remember being ranked high on the richlist, I wonder if I can find my wallet Sad

Kudos to the dev and community for keeping this alive.

Found my wallet from 2014, loaded it up and it works great with addnode=94.199.178.17

Still have a bit of coins in there, and they are staking once again!

Just a suggestion dev, how about sending a message to coinmarketcap with a link to this announcement thread, so people can more easily find it. Or, if you plan to create a new announcement thread for the token version, send them that link.

Would be great to see a blockexplorer (with richlist of course).

For this short time I can not set up a blockexplorer. When we swap, you will see the premine and the funds collected in other coins and the allocation, which business they are in at the moment.

MdbM: You are still a troll, as I told you before the premine is safe in the original address. After the swap, in the new website you can follow how much money GoldReserve has.

Hi, after the swap, GoldReserve will be an ERC-20 token. You can hold it in any erc-20 compatible wallet (MEW, MEtamask, etc.) or you can use a new wallet which is the product of the new developer of GoldReserve. Its a multicurrency wallet and you can use all the features of GoldReserve with one click, inside the wallet.

Hello Mester,
could you please post a guide with the steps on how to make the swap, thanks!

We are using telegram now, you can join any time, we discussing the swap and the new features there. About the swap. You have to create a new address and you need to save the private key and seed for that wallet. Then you have to send your XGR coins to a certain address. It will be stored in a database and when we will be on the Ethereum blockchain (february) you will get your tokens according to the balance you sent to that burning address.

i understand that. But first I need to send old coins from original wallet to swap address. And I'd like to ensure that I have correct version of original wallet before sending them.
(If I understood process correctly...)

Each wallet is capable of sending coins to any address, there were not any forks with GoldReserve, you can use any of them.

the given address, to "check your fork balance"
0xc08b5542d177ac6686946920409741463a15dddb

isn't seen on any eth explorer...

When will it be "online"?

and on this address we will see our new created XGR public address, where we have to send the coins?

or did i get something wrong  Roll Eyes

Weird question, and forgive me if i'm asking in the wrong section, but have you considered Xtrabytes instead of Eth? The tech will be up next week / soon and it's supposed to be able to work with many different programming languages compared to eth. It's supposed to be similar to eth, but far better.
