it is more than 5000 dollars (
why so much?
Give me your GRW Address, I'll send you a few thousand. Smiley I used to solo-mine this coin in 2014.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

I also am gonna give you guys a little insight about the pow and pos and why I came up with these ideas

POW - To put it simply conformation times due to the nature of pos and people not needing to have their wallet online to stake conformation times suck like almost 2 hours to get 200 confs to be able to get grw to trade miners can help fix this the more transactions that can be processed the faster everyones conformation times will be

The growing reward capped at 30 yes it seems high but almost all other pow/pos coins have the reward half so far that people stop mining it because its not profitable which leads to decline in prices and usage example sprouts, vector, hyperstake ect. a growing halving should slowely gain traction with miners and make it worth while for them to put hashing power towards GRW

POS -  The current problem is that there are more coins generated than there are people to buy them also with such a high inflation the value of grw will continue to hang where it is or allow for massive selloffs and pump and dumps to happen as a community we should want adoption creating something that can be so easily manipulated by the large stake holders against the people trying to get into the coin will most definitely kill the adoption of GRW Crypto is built on trust and having a high stake rate is inherently untrustworthy

Please feel free to weigh in on the subjects or propose something that maybe i haven't thought of also I will maintain transparency with the community throughout the development if you would like to donate to the development you can send here appreciated not required

BTC - 16Dx8FaSLpowQReM9AygP3ufB4ZCBL91Rd

GRW - GYK7bLqZAAjtqcvmxf9stvDydQ8K4cwKTU

ETH - 0xb5b328384bedcbcf291d5b01213079545cf3a302
I'm sending you some GRW.

We need to have more people step in here.  I have been running the wallet and usually just two active connections to the network.  I am not sure if that means that's the total number of people staking.  If there are other nodes, does that mean there could be others online staking Growthcoin?  The problem with my wallet is that there are thousands of tiny fractional payments, and I can't send to an exchange without using coin control to select each payment.   I did a sort by size and did select some of the higher ones, but now it's down to ones that are like 1.x size or below.  I checked the error type and did see some people talk about this error.  I can't post it now but just wanted people to know that my staking computers are filled up with other wallets and so this one needs more support.

I gave away some GRW to someone I know. I would like to see a new wallet based on the BTC core, 0.15, or something.

I take it opens one time a week, maybe I will increase the open time to 2 or 3.

If anyone needs the current blockchain, here is a .7z snapshot of it from yesterday (21th Dec), in 4 files.

Wow, this wallet is the pits.  I am trying to get it up and running on another box.  It has been loading the bootstrap for 24 hours from the growthco.in site...  I only seem to have one connection as well...  Undecided

That did it!  Thanks for posting the archive.

When staking, I noticed that instead of splitting the staked block it created a new one that was larger than the previous block.  Do you by chance know what the split block threshold is for this coin?

Thanks again.

NP, Merry Xmas Wink I have no idea, I usually keep mine in plenty stacks that wont cause too many small, nor too few big blocks.

The current bootstrap is old, I provided a snapshot of a recent one, and the newest wallet 1.3.0.1 is available on github: https://github.com/iamunick/growthcoin/releases

That's several years old.

I was talking about a brand new, updated with the latest bitcoin core code from 2017.

Is there a way to have the blocks not become super small?  I did not see a -SetBlockThreshold type command.  I see a -blockminsize in bytes but do not know if it does the same thing.  Anyone know?  For example if I have a block of 100 coins, and they stake, instead of the block going to for example 55 and 55, they will stay as one block of 110.  It would be nice to not have to select each block after staking to combine them into a larger block.

Thanks

Yeah, you and me both, I've had 2 disks slightly fail, my linux SATA and my main Windows machine, lappy.  Undecided I did however have sort of the linux in older iterations spread out over 2-3 older PATA disks, so I can get 90% back, but now I'm installing Debian anew. The 9-something.
