Any trusted Windows wallet compilation out there? Huge draw back for those who don't want to jump through the hoops.
The links in the OP are from community members but they have been examined and tested by many others in the community. The imminent new release will have official binaries from Arux (core team member). |

Thanks Make sure the downloaded .bin file is named blockchain.bin If you are on linux it goes in ~/.aeon Here are the Windows instructions from Arux: i have downloaded the wallet and blockchain. can anyone tell where i need to put the blockchain to make it sync faster
i guess you're using windows. launch aeond once (no matter the location) it will create a C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Roaming\aeon folder close cleanly aeond (by typing "exit") paste your donwloaded blockchain.bin into C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Roaming\aeon re-launch aeond |

It's been awhile since I ran CN daemons so I posted my query...tried again no folder...so I just created one and dropped the blockchain file in it and now it's loading blockchain...thanks |

Weird thing is, I ran aeond and it didn't creat appdata folder...I went looking for it and it wasn't there... It's been awhile since I ran CN daemons so I posted my query...tried again no folder...so I just created one and dropped the blockchain file in it and now it's loading blockchain...thanks
You probably need to do save or a clean exit before it will create the folder. |

Yes I will be implementing disk-based storage for the blockchain, probably by merging the database from the Monero upstream. If that doesn't become stable soon enough I will use something else. |

I just hope poloniex will re-list AEON.
A XMR/AEON pair would be a great testbed on a platform like this. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=946174.0And it looks like they may need some new blood to keep that project going. |

That's pretty silly. 18.4M is just 2^64 with the decimal shifted. Since the code uses 64 bit integers (as does most modern code) that or some other decimal shift is the most logical number to use. |

The next reward will be 12.5, then 6.25, then 3.125, etc. These numbers will get smaller with more decimal places, and eventually the entire reward may be considered dust (depending on the BTC value at the time). |
