If you are operating a big pool (or are a big solo miner), please check your configuration, node functionality, connectivity, and logs. There have been some large reorgs that have happened in the past day. This could be caused by a large miner that keeps mining without propagating blocks (possibly due to somehow being lagged/overloaded if short on RAM given the high volume of tx in the past couple of weeks), or it could be a bug (hopefully something would show up in logs).

PM me if you have any info.

EDIT: also if you are running a big pool or miner, please make sure you running the current version 0.9.12.0.

That's actually a strategy to get more blocks. I have suspicions at least one pool is actively doing it, but I have no proof.

Bittrex is having another routine maintenance on their Aeon wallet. How long does it normally take? The last time it took longer than it should. Now I have some of my coins trapped in the exchange.

Are there plans to list Aeon in a high volume exchange?

Nope, there were issues - https://aeon-pool.com/#pool_blocks.

I got tripple payout for period "17.06.2017 - 19.06.2017" rather than several payouts for this time. There was a day of junk mining.

Nice to share your feelings but do we have more than that?
I'm new on crypto-coins, it is the only pool where I mine and I'm more than interested.

For me the Pool Blocks tab it's just a "Presentation" than can be tuned as the host wants to. But I still see some orphaned blocks if you "load more".

Can you check the found block from the miners' logs when mining on pools?

It did not take much to move the price down and it might go back to its range from 2 or 3 weeks ago when it was trading under 20k satoshis. I wish I was patient and did not buy at 40k satoshis.

My mistake was I thought this was going to join everyone else in the bull market.

You can mine on a VPS, just beware that the service provider may throttle your CPU usage.

I tried that on an Amazon VPS and after about an hour they started limiting my CPU to about 20% of max. Several later tries produced the exact same result.

Trading back up on bittrex!

Well, it wasn't affected in any way. You could trade by direct link before.

Too late. Aeon is back at .0003 and rising. The volume is low so that means no one is pumping. The buyer could be a long term investor.

My mistake I thought the 0$ volume meant it was shut

What's the latest news on the blockchain reorg and what is the status on the fix? Smooth is very busy and has not posted in the thread since Bittrex suspended deposits and withdrawals. Maybe the problem is much bigger than we thought?

Its being worked on, by replacing the old crufty code (forked from Monero in its very early days, and then largely abandoned before I picked up maintaining the coin), which has been the source of many problems, with the rebased version based on the Monero code.

There is no evidence of the 'problem being bigger' in any way.

I'm not going to rush out a major update before it is ready. It will be ready ASAP.

Take your time man, proper quality code is worth waiting for. Smiley

Has Bittrex told you anything as to how long they will have the wallet under maintenance? Will it be that way until the revised/replaced code is finished?

I feel like AEON miner community is like secret society as I really can't find any AEON mining hardware hashrates.
Only person I have found who posted information about his hashrates was the one with Ryzen 1700x - getting 2150h/s which seems to be very profitable for CPU mining at this moment.
What about Intel E5 Xeons? GPU mining?

Hashrate for cryptonight-light is generally about 2x regular cryptonight, so you can lookup device hashrates for monero mining and estimate aeon hashrate by doubling it.

after hitbtc started to receive aeons yesterday,  the price dropped from 30k to 15k, so be careful on bittrex, it probably will hit the ground as well!

All my AEONs beside 3 i mined last week are on Bittrex for many many months. So what should I be worried about? Their number will halve? what please tell me.

You can take some things into consideration(as network hash rate over time) but you'll have to decide for yourself and not be totally influenced by some forum comments.
Two questions that I have for when deposits will be reactivated on bittrex:
1. Will there be a a lot of deposits by miners willing to sell cheap and fast?
2. Is this going to be seen as things coming to "normal" and more big investors will show interest?
