oh shut up about illuminati conspiracy theories. your starting to look like a youtube anarchist that never leaves your basement,

customers have made complaints that mining rig manufacturers are not refunding customers. this is the same as what BFL and others have done. so why defend scammy people that pre-mine the rigs to double profits and deny refunds..

Is there a single ASIC manufacturer who is reliable and trustworthy? After the Butterfly Labs and Avalon, now we are having Cointerra. Sad to see so many people conned by these criminals.

the better business bureau and other countries 'consumer protection' groups are not like government regulation. they do not charge fee's for licence and then sit on their asses, they do not set rules that are unfair. consumer rights is what businesses SHOULD follow.

government regulation of bitcoin itself .. a big HELL NO, but if a business wants customers, then it cant get away with being a scammer. so consumer protection for businesses yes. and that goes for any business of any currency. its all about ethics and morals. not control

Is there a single ASIC manufacturer who is reliable and trustworthy?

Yes, there are a few.  ASICMiner, Bitmain, and Bitfury are all rated an A+ or an A by dogie.

I have never tried out any ASIC manufacturer myself. But my friend recently purchased his mining rig from Bitfury. Even he was surprised by the quickness of their shipment and delivery. So.. I need to withdraw my statement.  Grin

Most mining manufacturers would be considered a "scam" by most standards as it is not common to request customers to pay upfront for a product that will not be delivered for several months.

This is regardless if the company actually follows through or not.

I understand that the manufacturers used the preorder funds for development, however this is almost unheard of elsewhere in the economy.

Don't forget about HashFast.  Seems like most ASIC manufacturers are pulling this kind of crap now.
