We are flooded with good news this year: For example,
The MIT Experiment is Boston
The Bud Summer Concert Massive BTC giveaway.
Dish Network
etc, etc.

What is your favorite positive Bitcoin news story so far this year?

My personal favorite was the generosity shown to Dorian Nakamoto after Newsweek ambushed him. It wasn't a major piece of economic news, but it said something very positive about the bit coin community.

I like the Dish Network story. It will be very interesting to see how many publicly traded companies will accept BitCoin over the next 12 months.

Thanks for the reminder, we did seem to help him be happy for a while.  Smiley
I just remembered how he said he "doesn't communicate with Bitcoins anymore" (or something very similar), that was strange, almost like he was clearly part of the project.

Anytime some egghead leaves a Silicon Valley giant to work for a Bitcoin startup. Huge validation.

No news is good news(c). The best thing about bitcoin this year is the one that didn't happen: bitcoin didn't die!

To this point, I'd go with DISH network's acceptance of bitcoin as a payment option.
I still feel that as Direct TV's biggest satellite competitor, it will cause Direct TV and their parent company, AT&T, to take notice and consider the same option.
Bitcoin could gain 100 fold by year's end.

The US real national debt figures are shocking. It really is only a matter of time.

My one was Mike Maloney talking about Bitcoin, while it may not seem like a big deal to many people he has really good videos on economics, like Ron Paul, he sat down, thought about it and decided that if there's no fraud involved and it's something made in the free market then there shouldn't be a problem.

We need more people thinking this way instead of making stupid assumptions about it.

Ebay CEO interview is my favorite, but there are plenty of positive news this year so I was spoiled for choice, I hope this is only the beginning.

For me, Dish accepting Bitcoins was the best news so far this year. Dish is much bigger when compared to the other companies which accept Bitcoin, such as Overstock, Zynga, and Tigerdirect.
