This isn't FUD, this is a genuine question that I'd like to ask if I may.

Patrick Nosker from VRC pointed out that TOR capability is essentially in every wallet simply by setting the 'proxy' option to route through a TOR proxy.

What is different, if anything, about the TOR functionality/design in this coin's case?

As I understand, RZR provides a complete solution. You don't have to download the tor bundle or config a proxy to utilize the the TOR anonymity. It is an out of the box solution. Technically it may be the same, but I would claim that most users are overwhelmed with the setting of a proxy connection.

However, more important than pure innovation is an active developer team and community support. You can see it on super coin. The value increases without a new revolutionary technology behind it.

pretty sure there's a break out in price coming soon!

Why's that?

There's a lot of reasons for it. We have a limited amount of coins (2M), waiting for improvement of SMS gateway functionality of RZR,
block reward will halving to 25 RZR soon and we pretty much reached bottom of price (it's never been that low since trading!).

I expect a blow!

You can mine RZR at Dirty Diggers! www.dirtydiggers.org

Its a brand new pool that can use some traffic. Cheesy

We are also giving away free coins randomly to miners payment address's.

I checked out your pool but there were only 2 miners, none for Razor. This coin is really hard to mine too so not so sure this would be a good idea to be the sole miner for this.

Seriously? Oh wow, I expected there would be something more to it than, "well you don't have to download the TOR bundle". I have to say I'm quite surprised, given the market price of this coin, I expected it to be doing more than just saving one from a few extra mouse clicks.

You are mistaking the question regarding the supposed 'unique' value of the TOR functionality for one of comparing Anon between two coins. I was simply asking about RZR's TOR functionality as I genuinely thought there would be something more to it.

On another note, the pdf 'plan' talks about having employed a particular launch practice, yet doesn't mention the delay that appears evident at the start of this thread in posting a working Windows wallet, thereby resulting in a large delay between the beginning of the POW mining and the majority of miners being able to actually join in. Is this not suggestive of the Dev team and friends sneaking in some low-diff mining taking place before the hordes could start?

That is normally the reasoning behind delays to the Windows wallet release of a coin.

Just wrote a small article about the Project Plan :

Heads-up, typo, "a most interesting rad".

I've visited the blog that they cite about "Full stack startups" and, again, there seems to be little that actually says much of anything. I recommend others take a look for themselves and decide whether the hype in the pdf plan translates to anything of substance.

http://cdixon.org/2014/03/15/full-stack-startups/

It just strikes me as a vague hand-wavy blog post that implies something needs to be done a certain way but doesn't really go any further than that and, certainly, doesn't suggest that any of it actually applies to this coin's project anyway.

Is there something I'm missing there? What does this 'full stack startup' reference relate to for this project?

So, I jumped out of RZR for a minute while it seems to be at this sort of suppression floor. I plan to jump back in when it starts jogging again. Any supported predictions/opinions as to when/how an uptrend might start?

Don't think it is a good time to jump out. We are on the floor.

If you ask people to implement their own Tor, then it simply fails right here. How do you keep the network if half are on Tor (that's a high estimate BTW) and the other on just IPv4? As soon as you keep switching, either you connect to way less nodes, or you simply don't keep the privacy model in tact. Our core networking nodes are Tor. That means you don't have to try to use Tor as a proxy and instantly exit to hit a node and then go back in. You probably get roped into that non-Tor node for the life of the wallet being open. Would like to see if someone has tested this.

The original wallet worked just fine. It is not our issue that the forum blocks downloads. Most if not all of us keep a handy mega account. Sorry I guess? Sorry we tried to provide a self installer that works instead of forcing people to use the QT wallet and make their own config which is really confusing for new users. I'm sure no one else has ever had issues launching a brand new coin to the market, ever. Sorry again.

Good use of snide to dismiss the valid questions.

It doesn't, however, follow that your "hey, everybody makes mistakes" (dis)missive actually equates to your claims in the pdf 'plan' that you are conducting something called a 'full stack startup' from the launch of this coin project.

Also, are there any real-world identities disclosed for this coin-dev team?

Given the slew of scam coins projects over the recent months, with Silkcoin imploding only last weekend, people are becoming more wary about coin projects where the dev team don't disclose who they are. Vericoin, for instance, has managed to gain a great deal of market acceptance through being open about who they are and what their background is.

I know you name-drop a few well-known faces through a claimed partnership with Blocktech, but who are the people who are actually behind this project?

Giving a full disclosure of plans is not something many people do, let alone the big boys. Do you know the names of the devs behind the iPhone or Windows 2000? Will people care about a name once the product is fully delivered? Full stack does require baby steps until each portion is ready. Make Rome != 1day

Please be aware that your first snide comments were answered and you deferred to other points to make it seem more valid even tho you didn't refute anything. Feel free to carry on since I only answer these questions to let the community know our plans and our hiccups are real too. Good day.

I wasn't asking about full disclosure of plans, I was asking both what the, rather vague, "full stack startup" means in actual terms to this coin project and what the identity of the dev team is if it is known. Your reference to iPhone or Windows 2000 is just an odd association to try and make and the "will people care about a name once the product is fully delivered" deflection doesn't relate to a coin dev team choosing to remain anonymous either as, surely, the issue is one about what the situation is today, not the tomorrow that is promised by them.

Please be aware that your first snide comments were answered and you deferred to other points to make it seem more valid even tho you didn't refute anything.

What snide comments are you alleging I made? I see only pertinent questions that were answered without actually supporting either the claimed use of TOR as a ground-breaking technical feat or providing for a reasonable explanation of a delayed windows wallet launch that is usually the hallmark of questionable early mining by those associated with the coin.
