silly panicking.. if just dic only deals with bitcoins. then they are shutting down for no reason

the words virtual currency related to the digital form of FIAT.. this is something that bitay/coinbase should worry about when dealing with canadian FIAT.. but pure bitcoin businesses do not need to worry about those pesky FIAT laws.

the only thing i can think of is that any business that does "gambling" has to remain legit with its countries gambling regs if they are going to offer "cashing out services" into fiat.

I don't think you're correct.

You can't even access Satoshi dice from a US based browser.

Obviously they wouldn't restrict it unless the authorities
were putting pressure on them.

PrimeDice, RitzGrandCassino, UpDown.bt and other gambling sites are up and running ...anyone know where are they based at ? Wont they face similar challenge ?

Logically, no government with gambling restrictions will allow BTC gambling sites, sooner or later they will take some actions against those.
The only hope is in trusted/anonymous sites operating from countries with favourable laws.


Anyway, JD/DD suspended any bets and are advising withdrawals (they go smooth, so no need to panic).

satoshi dice banned america.. america didnt ban satoshi dice.. check your research the IP bans are done by satoshi dice.. american ISP's do not have satoshi dice banned.

basically the owner of satoshi dice doesnt want anything to do with america.. not the other way round

Has there been any issues with regulatory applications on gambling sites thus far in the world? I'm not aware of any (besides the sale of satoshidice, which isn't a gambling regulation application, it's a securities one)

Hopefully this is just temporary....these damn regulations are really going to stifle innovation IMO. It's a lot more difficult now for your average joe to launch a Bitcoin service.

I have the same sentiment in a place where there are a lot of places to lose money
Just-Dice was not one of them well less the variance but you could always keep track of your deposit and finance with commissions only charged on your profits and never your loss.

So having an investment like that is extremely rare in the Bitcoin world and I am sorry to see this service go away for now.

I can assure you he/she/they want everything to do with the USA but feel like they cant for legal reasons
