Logo contest for Viacoin (VIA)

Viacoin is a new and modern crypto-currency that will soon be released to the crypto community.
We are looking for a professional logo that reflects the high standards we want to set with Viacoin.

Design Brief

The contest will end on midnight June, 21 (extended from 17) and we will take community opinion and choose the winner

Reward is BTC 0.35 BTC for the best logo.

The "V" design is a concept and may be stylized and polished.

On a sidenote: Via is the Latin word for "road" and implies "by way of".

Additional requirements: the logo should be scalable and needs to stay recognizable if scaled down to 16x16.

At conclusion of the work the winner agrees to assign all copyright to us.

None of the community voting crap. Otherwise you will end up with a mediocre coin designed by sockpuppet masters like in the recent Quazarcoin contest.

Thanks for the questions. So I would like the V to appear in the design [in some form]. The V is a sketch I just drew quickly on the computer. It's the general idea. It needs to be polished, maybe proportions adjusted, different font, maybe slightly thinker lines, colours?, gradients?. You get the idea. Think of it like a rough drawing on the back of a napkin. So there is quite a lot of freedom there, just using something based on the V idea.

It does not have to be a coin shape.

I will give feedback on the designs so you can create variations based on the feedback.

Despite the fact that you insulted your competition ( not that I'm offended lol, you explained yourself at least ) I'm going to throw some constructive criticism in here, looks like it might be a first for this thread- despite my concerns, I may possibly vote for it anyway were a vote to be called now.

It's a good simple concept, which is what I think/hope the dev is looking for, as and gloss or fancy effects can be added after the fact fairly easily to appease the dev's taste; my preference is tied between standard and modern. However, the use of three letters on the coin, while it lends very nicely to the symmetry of the logo, may be detrimental when it is shrunk down, and the "A" in the logo looks more to me like a "D". It also completely ignores utilization of the "V" currency symbol, which I'm assuming the dev would be able to use as a logo and currency symbol to promote familiarity outside of sites like coinmarketcap.com and exchanges (selling goods for viacoin, etc.)

There is a deep meaning and obscure intentions in that VIA logo, actually the designer wants the people to relate the coin with VISA mainstream factor, therefore accepting it by default... evil cheeky genius!!

Just a little bit more of brainstorming about my concept, logo could also have small strings connecting the horizontal lines to the main V, resembling us to a bridge (a type of VIA also) which will bring the change from the fiat currency to the digital one. See below image, left logo:

All right everyone. Great work. I have some feedback.

I'm specifically looking for a logo that is corporate with some elegance. Yet the currency symbol should be very simple, and at high res it should also look good.
I absolutely need the currency symbol as part of the logo. The reason is I want it to be easily recognisable when either the logo or just the currency symbol is used. This means Viacoin is recognisable mainly through the base of the currency symbol, can be rendered at low resolutions, (e.g. etched into steel), yet can be rendered beautifully in a logo for video for example. What this means is you cant be too abstract with the V.

It would be helpful to submit the same design with a couple of different colour schemes too and please also render it down to 16x16 to prove it works at that resolution.

I'm going to extend the deadline till June 21st.

Your design has potential, but I dont like the V, especially the thicker second line. I think the parallel lines should be same and spaced so it's pleasing to the eye. It's possible the legs of the V are a tad too thick? Experiment with that. Also the angle of the V might need to be a little wider.
