That's really good news. They need to add the charts and other stuff as well. Also, I am not sure from which exchange they are getting their rates, seems like Bitstamp. At least in this regard, Yahoo was able to beat Google.  Grin

Any idea how they are determining the exchange rate?

Any idea how they are determining the exchange rate?

Most probably they are taking it directly out of the Bitstamp site. Unlike the fiat currencies, Bitcoin does not have a Central Bank which regulates the exchange rate. Or may be they will be taking a weighted average of Bitstamp, Kraken and BTC-E.  Grin

Interesting how they don't describe the method...

This bit is interesting:

Quote
52wk Range:   641.01 - 657.41

Looks like they didn't import any historical data.

More good exposure. Getting people used to seeing BTC is something that will help grow the new economy.

That is actually the range in Bitstamp for the last 24-hours. So far, they haven't added any historical data. (Bitstamp itself came in to existence only a year ago, in 2013).

There will be more hard days ahead. We have a ways to go before we can relax. The ride sure is fun though.

Ric Eldelman (independent financial planner) has been doing weekly segments on BTC in his radio shows.  When I first heard him do the BTC segment I knew BTC was finally being considered as a real tool as opposed to a fad.
