Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

My, my ... I seem to have touched a raw nerve and outed someone with a deep interest in Dash. Some would consider that Startcoin is Dash's main threat. You replied very quickly. You assume too much. I hold quite a few coins and don't hate any, although I do admit to disliking what Dash (Darkcoin) did to Dashcoin. Underhand, just like trolling. I note the fanboy putdown. I've obviously ruffled your feathers.

Oh boy...you did not "out" anything, I told you I like Dash...I only assume that you are not very well informed and you outed yourself as such with your unneccessary and uninformed verbal attack on Dash which you somehow try to paint as "sticking to START".
Again, I am hear to learn about START, as I am invested in START (as well as in Dash, but again, that is completely off topic).
My "feathers" are quite fine, thank you.

Now - again - let`s get back to START?

We have never left Startcoin and the topic is trolling - this was brought up by another poster in this thread recently. Trolling really gets my goat, especially when it is systematic and organised.

Far too often in this thread, good news is quickly buried and lost by those who pop up with a flurry of insulting, or banal/deflective posts - and those damning with faint praise.

Looks really cool. Would it be technically possible to spread its adoption by somehow loading it with some START satoshis (by the way, what`s the smallest STARTcoin denomination called? Keisers?)?

haha. can't agree more  Grin. I've been watching this guy since yesterday and must be most pathetic and boring attempt I've ever seen in my trading life. He does it for a while and then someone comes out of nowhere and buy 10-40 btc worth and then he is back at square one but he doesn't give up

I wonder the same, if someone give 5000/100,000 they give him 10,000/200,000 ? LOL
I doubt it works like that.

Just so everyone understands how todays one worked, firstly it was announced on Twitter https://twitter.com/maxkeiser/status/618439739016921088

Then the offer was pledge £25 which was 254 Startcoin at the time and receive a 500 Startcoin card. There was a limited supply of 60 and you could only pledge 1 £25 at a time. To receive more you just repeated the process until the cards ran out ie You could not pledge £250 and receive 5,000 Startcoin in one go. Obviously to take advantage of this you would need to have some Startcoin stored in your wallet on Startjoin. Hopes this clears up the procedure they used today.  There was another one earlier https://twitter.com/maxkeiser/status/618425894525399040 for £50 and receive 1000 coins.

The second one had 157 backers and raised £17,000 for the project in about 2 hrs i think

Thanks for clearing that up! Just one more thing. Are they online scratch cards or do you fill in a form to get them posted out to you?

From Max Keiser just over an hour ago on Twitter and Startjoin:

"Triple-stakeholder model will keep StartCOIN on upward trajectory: coin-holders, crowdfunders and SCH shareholders all have stakes in seeing coin higher and each has means to do so."
