im not only watching this coin ...
but ive also setup a node and a mining pool for startcoin ... as one of the pools for our new poolset - which will be released soon ...
the pool ( and pool set ) is denoted as 'alpha' mode - and that will change to beta when the entire pool set is released as part of the mpos section of our pool area ...
when thorough testing is undertaken - it will come out as 'production' mode - which means it will be fully functional as a pool and node and is part of our system ...
currently mining with a small amount - for the low difficulty stratum - and will be adding a high difficulty stratum when that testing phase is complete ...
great project - and would really like to be part of it ... this is a small and first step ...
thefarm ( our gpu mining arena ) is the next step - and as large as it is currently - will grow to be available soon within the ecosystem we are developing for use within the network and make use of these pools ...
funding for the growth of that area would be helpful ...
if anyone is interested in testing the pool for stability ( or any others as part of the pool set ) - please let me via here or pm me ... the pool is already tested for functionality and has passed with flying colours ...
now we just want to throw as much hash at it - for stability testing ...

Here is the explanation for the various number of coins:
84 million will be the total ever mined. 54,381,080 is the amount mined so far plus the premine. 22,483,930 are in circulation. The other 32 million are in cold wallets to be given away over time.

That's nice, but to make any decent success from Alt Coin developed at GPU POW hardware level (even after it has gone over to ASIC equipment), you do need to hold at a minimum of 0.0001% of the Long Term Max Coin Supply. THIS ADVICE IS FOR POORER INVESTORS. E.G 80,000,000 LTMCS equates to minimum permanent position of 8,000. Above, the minimum holding, you will have the better funded or more sophisticated investors, who take sizeable positions, but they're usually are financially wealthy and ALT Coins are just a fun alternative to watching Television or throwing their money away in rigged betting games. Below the minimum LTMC holding of 0.0001%, you'll have a mixture of newbies, people who don't know what they are doing and BTC traders (who do margin trading on ALTs, exploiting early stage POW Max Blocks Rewards to short sell ALTs).  |

Losing, but bought a coin that went much better  I still have 2 shares in the Startcoin mining backed security through BTTF (which I now take Div's in DASH) But that will last a few years so maybe one day I will switch back to SC It's worth a look at the price lately |

Does anyone use this coin for ANYTHING other than a pump and dump? NO Does encouraging a single point of failure Startjoin.com make this coin strong? NO Does a 50% premine make people want to mine and so secure the network? NO How long would a BitJoin.com have lasted with a 50% premine before a DDOS attack? and who would support the 50% monopoly? I'd love to find something positive but ALL the metrics on this coin are negative. Who would mine it? who would own it? who would use it? what the fuck is it for?  Other than a pump and dump. Hey I'm a smart arse and I bought low and sold it to some sucker high. what a fucked up coin!!!!! |

To those that asked me via pm when the new Wallet will be published: the offer that I have send to StartCOIN to publish the new StartCOIN Wallet ends tonight. I have not received any response yet and I doubt that I'll receive one within the last few hours. I don't understand it because StartCOIN really needs a new Wallet but I accept it. It was a lot of work but I loved to work on it. StartCOIN has a lot of potential, a good (user) base and promotion abilities that other coins do not have and that just needs to be put into the right direction to move into the top 10 of all crypto currencies. |
