Another First Open-Source Multisignature Bitcoin Wallet? Now you really made me to wonder how many different wallets can be first to do the same thing...  For all I know, at least Gocoin, DarkWallet and Armory are open source and supporting multisig already. Though none of them tells you "Launching Soon..." when you enter their webpage - with that feature you are probably very first, indeed  |

Another First Open-Source Multisignature Bitcoin Wallet? Now you really made me to wonder how many different wallets can be first to do the same thing... For all I know, at least Gocoin, DarkWallet and Armory are open source and supporting multisig already. Though none of them tells you "Launching Soon..." when you enter their webpage - with that feature you are probably very first, indeed I'm so-so-so sorry things take time, we'll use magic next time. We don't feel like launching something that's buggy and so technical it's unusable *Ahem* This project is planned to take technicalities out of multisig and provide it so anyone can use it. It shouldn't matter if you're a long time bitcoin user or a first timer. ANYONE should be able to use bitcoin, and anyone should be able to adopt multisig. Remember adoption isn't magic either, and it takes time and someone to make things simple. Incase you forgot remember what the internet used to be before the first browser came out. No worries, and no need to be sorry. I grabbed my chance to mark your ad a bit - I do such things, but it's rather meant to be a joke. People who know me get used to this But I'm sure not only me, also other people on this forum, are waiting to see your project in the wild. You would indeed be the fist online wallet that provides a multisig kind of security, where the wallet's owner holds one key (or two keys) while you (the server) are holding the other. Assuming that I understood the concept correctly, reading your post, that's actually what I believe some people have been waiting for. |

Green address is neither open-source, 2 of 3 and you don't control your own keys. This is something FrozenBit is making possible. Any transaction from greenaddress has to go through their server to get signed. We use push tx with PUBLIC KEYS ONLY and send directly through the bitcoin network. All generation is done user (client) side and we don't intervene with how or when you spend your money. Assuming you can pass the 2fa. Also we're different because of how bare-boned we make multisig. Simplicity is how adoption occurs, we leave core functions in but hide them behind a nice interface. First of all I would like to ask, you mentioned that "not even you can take our bitcoins" how will this be, when one performs a transaction the keys would show up on your side, how can one be sure that you wouldn't steal the coins.
Second, you mentioned that user can make cold-storage wallets, but then again, one would need to enter the keys on the website to perform transactions, again it would risk the bitcoins being stolen by you or a hacker.

No private keys are required on the service, only public keys. However, you can do all generation through the service the AND project is opensource so you couldn't be more wrong and disinformed. If your service is not up yet, how can you compare it to other services that are actually live in production? Wish you good luck with your project!

We have testing going on right now, I'm just repeating what people are telling me. Ofcourse, The whole nature of our service is not what I tell you, but what's in the code. |

Sorry for the weekend issue guys, we we're experiencing load issues. I can assure you we've adjusted for the large influx of users. Thank you for allowing us to gauge interest, so for to date we've have almost 5000 people signup for the beta and almost 3/4 of that activate their beta by email!
