Looks like the stats page is down. Is the server still working?

I don't think I can do this anymore. I got another backend admin, I told him to watch the pool, and when I wake up again, it's down. This just isn't worth it with software that needs someone to watch it 24/7.

You should at least bring the server back up for now with a notification with a time and date that it will no longer be operational. This gives your users time to move their miners.

If you there mining with us at: http://pool.cryptoescrow.eu
You have probably noticed, that we are the luckiest mining pool
on the market for the last 3 days
.
Or the luckiest mining pool since our relaunch with zone117x on our team.
I don't know if this is his setup, but we are averaging 488% luck for the last 3 days.
This can be checked and proved at: http://pool.cryptoescrow.eu/#pool_blocks

If you weren't mining with us, it's never too late to join!

Quick pool code:
Code:
minerd -a cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://mine.cryptoescrow.eu:5555 -u YOUR-WALLET-ADDRESS -p x -t 4

Our Pool's Advantages:
  • Always running the freshest code(Updated 2014.07.01)
  • DDoS protected
  • Custom & Stable Daemon
  • W/ tech support from zone117x (the developer of the pool software)

Could you tell us what's custom or different about your daemon? What changes did you make?

I don't know the details, because i didn't see the code and didn't set it up.
What i can see and tell that our daemon never got stuck since the update.
4 Days and the daemon hasn't wasted a single hash - a huge difference to what was happening before.

that's very interesting because as far as I know, nobody has figured out what causes the daemon to silently crash. if you have a fix and are keeping it secret, you really should release the code to the public so we can all benefit from it. open source, and all that jazz.

From what i have heard, these daemon fixes were released, but the devs reverted the fixes to avoid some possible bugs with wallet synchronization.

Zone fixed it - you say "our" like it was some sort of group effort Tongue

If i say our internet connection is very good, doesn't mean i invented the internet Smiley
But I agree my expression wasn't very accurate.

Edit: back online after ~15min.

Edit2: seeing periodic connection timeouts

Stratum was off for ~5mins, we had to do some tech maintenance and a restart.

Are you seeing connection timeouts on the website, or on your mining software?
Connection timeouts on the website does not have any effect on mining efficiency and its normal to see them from time to time.

Mining software.  Website outage doesn't matter to me, but my rigs are failing over to backup pools a lot right now.

Hi, Fellow Miners,

We want to make an announcement, that the daemon we use at:
pool.cryptoescrow.eu
Is one of the most stable daemons available on the market.

Since the daemon update 5 days ago, our Monero daemon never got stuck.
Other pools are usually restarting the daemon every 30minutes which
results in wasted hashes, because the daemon needs some time to save
the blockchain and to restart.
On average it takes around 90 seconds.

The math is simple:
48 restarts x 90 seconds = 4320 seconds = 72 minutes = 5% of all hashes wasted.

We do not waste these 5% of all the hashes.

Have a great day!

Another great day at http://pool.cryptoescrow.eu
Our Luck Average is staying at: 367%
Our custom Daemon hasn't got stuck even once in 6 days - didn't need a restart, which means that maximum mining efficiency is guaranteed.

Are your miners wasting their hashes again?

It was an API update done by zone117x, which was done very quickly and is impossible to do without turning off the old api.
You can see our stats, that the pool never got stuck and hasn't wasted hashes: http://pool.cryptoescrow.eu/#pool_blocks

We even had this message on our website: July 4th: Front-end currently being updated to latest pool code. Mining is (as always) completely working.
But if you had the website cached it wouldn't show up unless you reload it with Ctrl + F5

The Monero Mining Hardware Comparison at the bottom of the home page seems outdated?

At highest it lists i7-2600 at at 134H/s - I get a stable 252H/s with my i7-2600 running stock clocks and stock cooling (Windows 8 machine).
i7-4770 is similarly listed at 160H/s, but I gett a stable 279H/s with my i7-4770 running stock clocks and stock cooling (Gentoo linux build).

Overclocking provides more hashrate too, of course.

Not sure how beneficial it is to have that document linked when there are at least 3 cpu miners, as well as nvidia and amd mining options available, unless you're going to keep it updated.
