According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in
Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it
will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

I don't see a constant update in the Daemon...if I enter the "show_hr" I'll start getting a running list of the hashrate but nothing about blocks. Is that normal?
Here's what you'll see if you find a block with show_hr running and the default log level hashrate: 445.3158 2014-Jun-17 13:40:24.697416 [miner 26]Found block for difficulty: 405821 hashrate: 444.5263
And here's what it looks like with set_log 1 enabled. Every time a block is solved it will show up in the daemon window. HEIGHT 226, difficulty: 421202 block reward: 20.543441993728(20.543441993728 + 0.000000000000), coinbase_blob_size: 345, cumulative size: 345, 31(0/31)ms 2014-Jun-17 12:45:06.879723 [miner 5]Found block for difficulty: 421676 2014-Jun-17 12:45:06.918762 [miner 5]+++++ BLOCK SUCCESSFULLY ADDED id: <a8aaa31e8070a39fee4296371e8ac44437387254722d38f1acf23eabd8f271e6> PoW: <f137b818cdf3c0f0e5d8fd957be6118b11a486cad7373f60aa0374e7d3010000> HEIGHT 227, difficulty: 421676 block reward: 20.545225621504(20.545225621504 + 0.000000000000), coinbase_blob_size: 345, cumulative size: 345, 32(0/32)ms

ExtremePool Update had to disable address validation but that created another issue. I will get with the dev to figure out what we can do.
is this a fantom coin clone? if so I do not believe the pool software works with this coin.

I see it has minerc in the binaries and not minerd. So a fantomcoin clone.

how can i solo mine only this coin. no merge?
I believe this solo mines it: monetaverded --start-mining Vdu4S8AFg4pSiAECHvdRniYJd3cMGdaJt4vfMN51rykajA4RxxvQgndc4hYSNf5QzoahpYWUSoXmuLx CJyunSMa113btNC38D --mining-threads 4 can i assign a port to this? what is the coins port? no port required. mines straight to your wallet address yes. but incase i want to use simpleminer or basic knowledge. if i use localhost:____ <---- how do i find the port for this? is there a way can assign it as well? also how do i check balance? Where do i check balance?

What's your hashrate? I'm mining at about 2KH and I'm up to ~1000 coins. It shows 44.2105...which seems low. It's not an old computer... Edit to add - I'm just mining from the wallet as the minerc window only shows for a split second when I try to launch it...what can I do to fix this?

If you are using windows, you can just open monetaverded.exe and enter the following: start_mining VdtUc6ZRS6DBeTmpAHCZZT9qZuRy3hd6KjcJyNmkzGJbc1GjV2N2ihHGTsHA3g9p4CMTnyNzshfNZPi B5GAN6vAh162gpcFnS 6 |Change address to yours| |Number of threads|You can also write: show_hr to see your current hashrate
