I sent an email directly to him as well and also haven't heard anything, but I'll watch out for him today and see if I can talk to him via the trollbox.

I still don't think Cryptsy is going anywhere, but the number of down wallets sure makes me wonder WTF is going on.

Thanks. I haven't received any answer yet as well. I would be careful of Cryptsy at that point.

Cryptsy shows all of the classic signs of being insolvent. I recommend withdrawing any funds from there immediately.

I actually withdrew about $300 yesterday. Just got what little FIAT I had off. Seriously about to remove my BTC, LTC and a couple other alts that I hold more than a little of.

Just to be safe.

Jshock says via the trollbox that he passed your email along to the wallet guy personally. Hopefully, that means something but I'm afraid it's the wallet guy that's been ignoring you all along.

But I suppose that at least they acknowledge they have heard from an XCR dev.

Hey guys, I will move the weekly update to tomorrow. So you won't stay awake waiting for it. Smiley

Okay guys, actually it will come today. Sorry for the wrong notice above.

We will release the new v0.3.0 lite client today! A few pages back I said, that we first wanted to release the v0.3.1 full client, but in the end the testing time was shorter for the lite client. I will write the blog post now.

Crypti Lite v0.3.0 Release!

Hello Community,

after the release of Crypti Full v0.3.0 alias Aphrodite last month we can finally push the Lite client to you today!

It took a little longer than expected, but it's worth it. The Lite client features the same completely revamped user interface and of course also offers the username and contacts functionalities.

From now on the Lite client is based on Electron instead of NW.js. This will bring some speed improvements and a better stability to you, and a much better (and easier) developer experience for us!

Great tool, Olivier! I really like it.

For everyone who is looking for a quick introduction into the Crypti client, I just made a very amateurish video. Sorry for my bad english. Smiley

Please note that this is a private effort of me and has nothing to do with the Crypti foundation itself. We will make more professional videos once we released the dapp platform.

Attention Standby Delegates

If you want to get votes, you should market your delegate node here: https://forum.crypti.me/viewforum.php?f=17

We will soon vote with our foundation stake for you! Now with the lite client out (finally) our users can also vote for you. So turn on your forging and be prepared to be a top delegate. Smiley

No UI, no TX, PoW. Right now no competitor, but soon. We have to hurry up and we know it.

But once again, the market is big enough for 2 parties. Also we are completely different than Ethereum. They only have 1 chain, we have many. We have dapps, they smart contracts.

Their blockchain grew to 30gb in the testnet, imagine how big it is with 1,000 smart contracts and many new users? Smiley

But also, we have to congratulate them. They are doing great work for cryptocurrencies in general.

Okay, so as I wrote above we changed a few things regarding the next versions. This decision was made after we discussed it at yesterdays board meeting.

Initially we wanted to release v0.3.1 which would fix a few very small issues. These issues are not serious and will not result in breaking anything.

With each new version release we have to 1.) go through rigorous testing and 2.) update 101 delegates about this release. We tested it the last weeks and things were going pretty slow, because Boris and our 2nd developer are concentrating on the decentralized applications.

Therefore we made the decision to simply skip this version and include the changes in the dapp release. Regarding this I also have some updates.

Let me tell you first the status of the new website. It is now completely coded and we are writing the content right now. This will take approximately one week.

For the website we hired a new frontend developer, we were very happy with him. That's why we decided to keep him under contract. Starting next week he will work on the mobile wallet which will get its very own release number (0.4.0).

Now back to the dapp release, which will have a new version number (0.5.0). Our other frontend developer, Vera, was working on the Dapp Store user interface the last weeks and she will probably finish it next week.

The backend for 0.5.0 still needs more work, but we are progressing every day. We hope that it goes into internal testing stage this month. It will be a huge update with dapps, sidechains, Dapp Store, multi-signature, performance enhancements and some fixes.

@Passion_ltc

Just wanted to thank you for the time that you keep on putting into giving us updates. Things have been a bit quiet in this thread over the last few weeks (I only get the chance to pop in around once a week here now), and you've still turned up and replied to people who have posted here and you've given the community constant updates.

I've been reading up on MaidSafe, they are building something similar to what Crypti is doing (Dapps) named SAFE Network. The SAFE network would be a platform for apps and programs that could be accesses by the network users. In their system docs paper they state:

Quote
Here are some examples of the type of apps that can be used on the SAFE Network.
  • Cloud storage
  • Encrypted messaging
  • Web sites
  • VoIP
  • Social networks
  • Distributed databases
  • Document or contract signing
  • Any existing service that runs on the Internet

It's become a race to whoever gets there first, gets all the fame. There's also Ethereum with their millions of dollars who are planning the same thing.

Maidsafe is much bigger and ambitious than anything else. Maidsafe has been in development for 9 years now, you can't compare Maidsafe with Crypti. Maidsafe is older than Bitcoin, and a totally different project, is a new network and a new form of transmit data Wink

Maidsafe don't use a blockchain, but you can create unlimited blockchains on it if you need one, you can create and store any kind of data that you can imagine.

Maidsafe is gonna change the world. Forever. The next week they will deliver the first installer for Windows, Linux and MAC. Get ready.

https://forum.safenetwork.io/

I'm watching Crypti development anyways since the first day, it's an interesting project.
