Also on a side-note, I love BTT and it has allowed us to get where we are today. That being said, I would really like to start transitioning these conversations over to the official forums here: http://forum.crypti.me/index.php

By moving the conversation to the official forums, you can create a topic with the title of your complain or area you want to discuss, I promise Max and I will be active as well as others answering questions, and it will make it MUCH easier for others to find topics that might answer their questions instead of sorting through random pages of BTT chatter.

We are already over there and talking to new delegates, we are just waiting for you all to join us!  Grin

Yes this is important. I will join later and possibly advertise as a delegate once I can assure a reliable node.

I see it as a must that every delegate makes a thread in the delegate section on http://forum.crypti.me. Else I will not vote for the delegate. Just FYI. Wink

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Thanks for all your responces.

7. I personally believe the registration fee is too high. This will be an action item at our meeting on Sunday. I intend to propose lowering the registration fee to 1,000 XCR to register a delegate. I will also propose refunding the other 9,000 XCR already paid to those who registered prior to the change. After the meeting we will announce any changes. Like anything, it must come to a vote, so there is no guarantee.
The problem is lack of interest. What do you (or we) need is technology evangelists, who will popularize crypti "selling points"/features/technologies at bitsharestalk and nxtforum. There is not enough of them (features) today.

So I see the plan like this one:

1. Release 0.2.1 with new features (I heard once about "escrow" feature).
2. The 0.2.1 release must include new/beautifil wallet design.
3. The Delegate Rewarde Program must started at x5 rates at 0.2.1 relase.
4. Crypti evangelists must to populate this new features at BTT, nxtforum and bitsharestalk.

Sometimes I think that you guys think that after CBC release, or Dapp release it would be a wave of interest by itself, without marketing efforts. No, it wouldn't. All your future plans must include this negative assumption.

You are misunderstanding our lack of marketing. The network is in it's infancy as is our technology. We would rather build and test with a smaller dedicated community than throw 100,000 users at a new unproven technology. We have extensive marketing plans once all features are fully complete and we feel as though we have a market ready system. This will most likely be after CBC (which will launch the DApp store and entirely new wallet, which if I do say so myself, blows everything out of the water, including Mist).

As you can see it shows you how good the new Crypti wallet will look considering the Mist client already looks quite good, also it shows that the Crypti team are keeping an eye out on the "competition".

Where is your node running from?  Is it a home computer behind a NAT?

The 10 second blocks are not friendly to home or work computers on DSL lines.  You need to be a s close to the internet backbone as you can.

I started with my delegate on my GPU miner, connected to a DSL line.  The altency was to long, and my percentage of successfully forged blocks dropped to 25%.  Now I am on a hosted server, for $5 a month, and my delegate has forged 100% f the blocks since then.  My uptime still shows as 52%, because it takes a lot of 100% to raise 25% to 90%.  The uptime is counted since the delegate first became one of the 101 top delegates, and is never reset.  This may change in future releases.

Where is your node running from?  Is it a home computer behind a NAT?
No, this log is from vps node. Wink
Checked all my nodes logs, can't find this fork.
Will ask other guys to check.

Yes, time is correct. Cool
Try to ask this "casino" delegate, looks like all came from him. Roll Eyes

Hello Crypti Community,

I would like to take this opportunity of introducing myself as the new creator of the Delegate Node "Carib.04.2015". It's been said that Crypti wants/needs reliable delegates to run the DPOS. I can assure you that I will keep my node running in the most efficient and reliable manner possible. "Carib.04.2015" is established in an Amazon EC2 T2 Micro Virtual Instance, they have a very reliable service with an uptime of aprox. 98-100%. The node will be kept running for as long as Crypti continues improving and innovating (be it 1 year, 5 years, or 50 years). I have created one node only as I am a believer of the voting system in which the 101 delegates should be filled by 101 different entities. Now, enough with the logistics of the node and a little about of myself. I am a full time student, currently enrolled and finishing a Master's in Marine Geology at the Caribbean (hence "Carib"), where we are helping distinguish depositional features between tsunami and storm deposits. To do this, we use third world technologies such as coring, XRD (X-Ray Diffraction) and grain sieving among others.

Even though my studies are concentrated on GeoSciences, I've always had a knack for technology. I've been in Crypto for more than two years and have learned so much. Be it pump and dump scams, be it fake clone copies, be it developers mining secret blocks before mining begins, I have seen and experienced quite a few of these events, even befalling to them every once in awhile. I've been in Crypti since the IPO and have been stocking up ever since. I truly believe in the team behind Crypti, they innovate, they achieve, they thrive. Let's make this happen, together.

Cheers!

- J. F.

The blockchain from (http://downloads.crypti.me/blockchains/blockchain.db.zip) still seems to be the old one? Even though you don't really need to download it seperately for now, it would be good if it atleast wasn't the wrong one Smiley

Btw, I just moved my node to DigitalOcean to make sure it will be up 100% of the time. Has always worked perfectecly running it from home before, but with the faster block generation etc I though I'd not risk it for now.

When you guys form a delegate, you need to enable FORGING. so that when you are graduated to 101 status, you are forging.

right now we have 2 new delegates, with 0% uptime.

EDIT:  this was fixed.  Please enable forging as soon as you form a delegate.
