I want to know if there is any confirmation about the validity about my investment ,such as a email ?
What? For NEM? Your investment is valid if you hold your private key and no one else does.

XMIN Airdrop to XEM Holders (May 07 09:00 UTC)
https://coindar.org/en/event/nem-xem-xmin-airdrop-to-xem-holders-8707

What is XMIN and which is it's use and finality? Does any exchange support this airdrop? This link doesn't provide such information.

According the the chronobank site, 60 XMIN is equal to 1 TIME.  - https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/chronobank/

1 TIME is trading at around $14.42 (as of this post).

Therefore, 1 XMIN is worth around $0.24.

So for every 20 XEM you deposit in their mint wallet, you are airdropped 1 XMIN. i.e. $7.60 of XEM to receive free $0.24.

They are asking you to put XEM into their wallet, but some questions arise:

- How secure is the mint wallet, what is the likelihood that your XEM could be taken, and it could be a scam.
- How can these XMIN tokens be traded, they're not listed on CMC or any exchanges?
- Can the XEM be removed from the mint wallet once the airdrop has been done

This sounds a bit fishy to me, I personally would be hesitant to do this until I know more information.  Free money sounds too good to be true, what's in it for them?

I totally share your thoughts. Free money is sometimes to good to be true, but airdrops are quite common these days.

I would support the project and like the idea if the airdrop would begin to any XEM holder and not just those who are using their wallet.
XMIN therefore would be a Mosaic ? or will it be a ERC20 token?.

I don't think big bag holder will participate and move their coin into a wallet not officially declared secure by the foundation

I totally agree. Since I still have a lot of XEM, I am not going to participate in this airdrop. Risk/reward ratio is too low imho ...

Is it necessary to store the XEM in the Mint Wallet or can I let them into my NEM Nano wallet? I am little bit confused about storing it in a wallet which does not necessarily seem secure. Any experience with the wallet yet?

Hi. The NEM Nano Wallet is secured. You just need to keep you Backup Wallet (.WLT file) and Private Key secured, usually on an external USB within a weather-proof safe with combo and key. (LOL....maybe not that secured, but you get the picture.)

Here is a video I created to create a "simple wallet" on the NEM Nano Wallet desktop client. After you create your own personal wallet on the desktop client, and find your NEM address...you can then transfer XEM from a crypto exchange to your personal wallet for safe-keeping and/or use. You can buy things with XEM at participating stores in Japan, Australia, and more to come.

However, I do not know what a "MINT WALLET" is? Is that a wallet on a specific crypto exchange, that can hold NEM mosaics like XEM?

Hope my video helps: https://youtu.be/U_i2_3w1YTY

To get the airdrop being discussed I think you have to deposit your precious XEM into the Mint wallet, which for anything larger than pocket change sounds like a really bad idea. Some airdrop based on creating a wallet with a minimum balance and signing a message from cold storage wallet on a trezor seems much better, then users are protected, and the Mint wallet gets some new user promotion.

I heard Crypterium is adding NEM to its app! Very exciting to have that added crypto to fiat liquidity! It will be great for both projects.

Hey folks. It's been a long time since I posted. - My account, leoinker, has been compromised, and I get no response from admins in resolving the issue.
I managed to lock the account, but that is it. I did use a very long and secure password, I operate on a secure network, and don't use weak OS, like Windows.

Nearly all my online accounts have been being spammed with failed login attempts. The only one that was successfully hacked is this one on bitcointalk. I believe the security here must be weak. I really wish they would enable 2FA.

Anyway, I want to share some exciting news:

myCoinvest (a NEM project) is at final stage before being accepted onto the Shark Tank show. They plan to expose NEM to a huge audience, globally.
Right now myCoinvest has a NEM Community Fund proposal running, and needs your support.

You can view the proposal here.
Please read the proposal, as well as the comments. There is much clarity given in the Q&A that takes place.

To Vote NO

I hope you will all vote YES. myCoinvest is one of the first USA-based NEM projects, and has a goal to bring mass adoption of NEM to the United States. The USA is our weakest area of NEM adoption, and we intend to change that.

That show is entertaining but far from being considered having serious business deals.

They pick up whatever business they think will make for good drama, essentially no serious projects will want to be shown on that show and why ask the NEM community for funding? I thought the whole point of Shark Tank was to ask these entrepreneurs for funding.

This sounds like something that will not work and will most likely make it to the show just to make "good television", or in other words make a joke out of the crypto-community by billionaires.

@LemonAndFriesOne

You must not have read the proposal?
myCoinvest is already a working product that has been in development on NEM for over a year. It is beyond proof of concept, and is already producing revenue. However, It is based in the USA where ICOs are not allowed.
If you read the proposal you will see what the funding is for. I did provide links to it. The comments on the proposal also give additional insight and clarity to questions that people have - like yourself.

See? Even you know what Shark Tank is. Apparently you don't realize that nearly everything pitched on the show gets massive investment from the audience, even if the sharks don't do a deal.

You don't think NEM should be mentioned on Shark Tank? Think it would have negative impact?

edit/
I probably should not have posted the voting addresses. I didn't think about the possibility of people voting without actually reading the proposal and asking questions. Shark Tank is just a cool tidbit of news and has nothing to do with the core of the project.
myCoinvest is already the most active group promoting NEM in the USA. And I plan to host several NEM meetups myself, by years end.

Here is a tweet made today by NEM Official Twitter.

I really like their proposal and voted in their favor. It would be a pity if they can´t reach the necessary %. I just can encourage everyone to vote for it and maybe join the telegram for further updates

Thomas Lee
@fundstrat
CRYPTO: #Consensus2018, organized by @Coindesk, impact on crypto market will be much larger in 2018, given the sheer increase in expected attendance. 2017 was +1,250 additional attendees but 2018 should see +4,250 additional. 3x the impact... next week an interesting week

Thomas Lee, Managing Partner and Head of Research at Fundstrat Global Advisors, has accurately predicted the price of bitcoin for several years. His latest prediction is a year-end target price of $25,000 and a price of $91,000 by March 2020. Lee’s analysis incorporates Metcalfe's Law, which states that the value of a network is the square of the number of its users, and bitcoin’s potential to become a substitute asset for gold, among other factors.

“I think this next generation of young people view bitcoin as their store of value. And if it captures 5 percent of the gold market, it's worth at least $25,000 per unit,” Lee told Business Insider in an interview in October.

Ronnie Moas, founder of Standpoint Research, predicts that the price of bitcoin will hit $28,000 in 2018 and believes that its value will eventually rise to $300,000 - $400,000. Moas bases his price prediction on the limited supply of bitcoin facing potentially unlimited demand, which could push the price of bitcoin to never-before-seen highs, among other factors.

"I don't know how much gold there is in the ground, but I know how much bitcoin there is, and in two years there will be 300 million people in the world trying to get their hands on a few million bitcoin. This mind-boggling supply and demand imbalance is what is going to drive the price higher," Moas said.

Of course one may argue that Fundstrat Global Partners benefits from Lee’s high profile and his outspoken views on cryptocurrency valuations. However, the success or failure of his company nor his career does not depend on the future performance of cryptocurrencies like bitcoin. The same goes for Ronnie Moas and his company, Standpoint Research.
