here's an interesting new address:
http://chain.nem.ninja/#/account/NARSQZSIKWFCVYUQAGRDYAINPW5KMGD6OLOPLLDF/0

Just started accumulating on the 16th and added more 15 million today.

All coming from poloniex straight to this new address.

Is it a speculator, whale, insider, Zaif?

Take a guess ...  Cheesy

Zaif would be smart enough to not leave so many XEM in a non-muilti-sig account. So count that out Smiley

Yeah but unfortunately you have to take in consideration that, more people are hearing about NEM, more fudsters will be here.

Fudsters are everywhere : ) in crypto PnD moves are happenig all time.
Allso a lot of people are for long run those who hold from beginning (BTC,PPC,LTC) have high profits without caring about price after few years.

Smartest people with balls are selling on pumps and buy after pump when price falls -60% after few months.
LTC,PPC was down 90-95% after year.// you need take that risk into acc

PS: For sure you don't want to be long therm investor after getting in after pump ^^ with miss "train syndrome" :-D
Rise part is usually short and sharp and way down is looooonger 20x-100x...
Without real adaptation you won't have stable price  and volume.
About krypto know not to many people.

PSS: if i tell my mom to get NEM, she will ask what she can do with it ? and my answer is today you can speculate Cheesy on polo.

what are the main features of NEM?

I have only skimmed the surface. Does it have asset exchanges like NXT or smart contracts like Ethereum?

what are Mosaics?

EIDT: reading faq now and i see it mentions both asset exchange and smart contracts http://nem.io/faq.html

so now im curious about whether Mijin will be testing these features before NEM. Basically 167 companies will be testing Mijin and Im trying to imagine what that'll look like.

AE is already in NEM (at least in a first iteration, obviously it will be expanded upon) but it's called Mosaics. It works fairly different from other AEs you might have seen. I think there is a tutorial/introduction to Mosaics coming up.

No idea what the plan for smart contracts is currently but I'd guess that it won't be like Ethereum.

There has to be a node somewhere harvesting on that key.  If somebody else running a node is willing to harvest for you (which is pretty easy for some people) then yes, you can turn your computer off.

If you are running an NIS on your home computer, once you have it running and harvesting for your account, it is safe to turn off the NCC and close your browser.

Check if it is an antivirus blocking problem: at least that's what was happening to me.

Hi.  I installed the nemwallet-0.6.73 recently and couldn't open my wallet in the browser too.  I tried for a day or two and then gave up.  The NIS and NCC were running but I couldn't access the wallet.  Basically I left the wallet alone for a few days and then it opened for me.  I was able to access my wallet and it synchronized after I booted a local node.
Hope this helps you.

Try to open the local url in another browser. I had same issue when I first ran Ncc. Safari didn't work "just got a blank page". Then Firefox worked perfectly. I am not quite sure what might have been causing this. It seems related to security settings of third party software such as anti-virus or security settings in your default browser. Try another browser "other than your default one".

And dear lord do not move your coins back to an exchange. Please. Don't. Just, don't.

Thx for the help guys, I will try some of the suggestions, but it worked fine yesterday when i first installed. It was still not harvesting, but at least i could see it was active yesterday, and I could see my coins. I will wait and see if it starts to open at some point.
