World class and bleeding edge in Blockchain technology design. Most promising indeed!

Most blockchains still have a single-tiered network where the wallet and server are one in the same at the core level. The original NEM architecture was one of the first to efficiently design and utilize a two-tiered network, and now Catapult is the first ever announced network using three.

As Jaguar, the lead dev working on Catapult told me, older blockchains scale linearly, one server serves only a certain amount of clients.  The new Catapult system scales exponentially as one server can feed into many API servers and the those in turn feed into many clients.

This is what the blockchain should have been in the first place. Satoshi was a visionary legalist, philosopher, and economist, not so much a great network designer or coder and Bitcoin and other 1.0 chains have been dealing with problems ever since.

Expect Catapult to have the most advanced and easiest to use APIs of any blockchain. This will make us an attractive option for 3rd parties to build on.

What's happened with Blockexplore / Rich List ? (http://blockexplore.in/search/richlist/). It's been stuck ~ 24 hours ago (last update: 2016-09-22 05:21 GMT). Normally there is 1hour period update, if I'm not fallen.

Still doesn't work. Anyone knows, what's happened?

Dont worry, we have been flying under the radar for quite some time. Wont be long before news snowballs.

Do you just hope, or you got some kind of evidence (about flying under radar, I mean) ? You're right with "wont be long before news snowballs", e.g. new info about Catapult development is really exciting! But see the "market reaction" - almost zero. Marketcap is still slowly decreasing and 24h volume is falling down to the ridiculously small values. Of course I understand the "HODL effect" in PoS/PoI based coins (in contrast of PoW and their daily mining activity), but still - where are the thousands of new buyers, desiring to have a new superior coin? ;-) Surely I hope (and we all hope, I guess) it's just a calm before a storm.

I remember this very same discussion back during 30 sats.

but he is right. No news - price slowly going down, great news - price is slowly going down. I guess we all have to admit that nem go to the moon only then some one decide to pump it again.

If you follow the pattern of trading similar to bts and maidsafe you can easily make good profits with NEM. It will go below 100 sats.

Lots of people hold, this is not a POW coin, so no pressure to sell.

Only reason people sell is when they start to panic sell, ive done so in the past and always loose out buying back at a higher price.
Best thing you can do is HODL, Im not in to day trading, yes money can be made, but very risky.
Yes i could have dumped all my NEM on launch and bought at 30 sats, and done the same with each pump cycle, but this is extremley risky (with any coin for that matter)

People need to forget about price and/or volume. Just look at the recent Monero pump and you will see what i mean.

I agree that marketing can perhaps be improved, but remember this is all volunteer work, if you want to help, please stand forward.
There is alot of marketing happening in Japan and Asia currently that we are very much unaware to half of whats going on anyway, Im sure we will hear even more news.

There is enough solid partnerships happening over there to know that NEM means serious business.

The innovation behind catapult is incredible, what other project has the ability to scale to large network transaction capability?
I would love to see Bitcoin try, this is why Bitcoin can never succeed mass adoption without a complete redesign.

Just look at the business model.

ETH does not interest me one little bit.
Do your research and you will find there are very few crypto options that stand up.

I can count less than 10 in total that will actually still be here in another 5 years.

NEM will be around forever, long live NEM  Cheesy

it will be around but will not be worth anything. an example will be something like reddcoin. you can have lots of it but only 10 sats. I much rather have a coin that is worth something. sell it off for btc then trade for cash. of course will only consider 10 percent of my whole portfolio for cash in. the only way you should hold on to a coin is if the coin is going up and will be that way long term. to bad there was not a way for there you to trade xem or nem for btc somewhere that does not involve going through a coin market for trade. these coins also are eventually dumped by markets as untradable then it has no value. example it is at 18 btc volume so if that volume goes to less 1 btc or is it a half btc then after awhile bye bye.

we will see that assessment after another month buds i still believe that nem still got something to show us we can't really tell whats the coin values
unless its stop updating or if there's no other offer coming from his dev but nem still have it we just needed to keep hold on it still progressing and still working fine.

lol this is nowhere in the same league as reddcoin!
That was a pump in dump that was all over within months. It took us over two years before we saw the recent pump lol

...

yes, the trade pattern of POW coins can not be used with NEM.
Or can but only by accident; if people forgot that NEM is POI - but maybe nemsters will take care that such misunderstanding will not happen Smiley

Read back over the threads.

I have heard people call it dead for 2 years, yet it just keeps on going up in the long run. Also, just look above on this page.  Some really amazing things are being planned and worked on.  NEM is a long game.
