If the main blockchain platform was NEM, I'd consider.

This is quite possible in the future.

We are not locked to a certain blockchain forever and can always shift to a more advanced one

IF you want to use Ethereum software for something.
Use the Classic version (ETC) instead of the corrupted/spammed/centralized version (ETH).

Spare yourselves with the drama and Hard Forks =)

Nem Catapult reached 3085 tx/s average and 4142 tx/s at maximum.

holy crap. Smiley

Very good news for NEM. The new Catapult technology was tested by third parties and found out to be very fast.

In summary, Catapult was tested on three nodes that were turned off and on to simulate outages.  They were spammed over 4000 tx/s.  Spam was sent from over 10 million accounts.  And everything worked great!

sounds good, but how many accounts were active in this environment? 10 million? sounds also good but should be more (visa has for example >800 million accounts).
the speed should be depending much on the number of accounts and also the length of the transactions stack since go-live, because the database calls will become slower, when the tables are longer...

I Don't think the price will fall in near future even if it does
it 's still and it will remain an entry point to any other altcoin for long time.  Sad

its about the test significance, not visa...
bitcoin can not scale, because those kind of questions were not asked before...
For example if the transaction rate went down only linear with the amount of users you will be down to 50 tx/s with 800 million users. And if nem was about to replace visa (whenever it would be the case), everyone would shout omg, why didn't you think about that before...

I hope that the devs doesn't release Catapult in December, because of the Bitcoin pump.
This is possible; Target $1400.

Q1 2017 (like the whitepaper says) seems a perfect timing for me when the BTC pump settles and the money flows into alts.

Anyway... I'm planning to buy more XEM in December if BTC peaks.

Hi XEM !

Welcome to my price target. Time to buy some cheap XEM's.

Even a small Dolphin can kill NEM.  All it takes is dumping 5 million XEM.   Shocked

There ain't no Revolution like a NEMolution.  The only solution is Bitcoin's dissolution! NEM!
