Why is the price going down?
BTC going up... maybe ATH breaks the next Day(s)... PPL want to be in BTC. |

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Higher the price the more likely there will be a Black Swan event. I suspect many of the biggest exchanges are fractional reserves and there isn't enough BTC to meet the demands of depositors if they withdraw to cash out.

I don't think BTC will break ATH soon. It will correct first.
It's still Bitcorn withouth any changes over the past years. Sure, there are lots of ideas for the future, but none of them are achieved yet.
So; I'm ready for a correction to play with altcoins for a couple of months.

Cool nonetheless that the whole menu is priced in XEM instead of JPY. Only 1000 XEM for a meal, I can eat for a while!

Japan does have some real world adoption of crypto. Back in 2015, Mona was then the #1 alternate and people were using it to purchase real estate, restaurant meals and gifts. XEM is now the #1 alternate in Japan and I had seen Twitter images so far of people spending it to buy food, liquor and other goods. So there is some real world adoption happening.

Given that China is behind this pump - and behind the bulk of BTC mining - I don't anticipate the BTC pump to last much longer before they swoop in with a statement on capital controls or some other doom and gloom outlook, causing a panic sell. Exactly what happend before a few years ago. there's too much chinese dominance in BTC not just in trades but in mining too and this puts me off BTC on the whole. Positioning myslf in ALT's and NEM is among that portfolio before the BTC dump for FIAT/ALT's begins.
