Can you help me spending my NEM instead ? You seem like a sane person. I exchanged part of it into bitcoin, but now, what do i do ? My spouse is just to (or "too", i´m not an english native) stupid for all that. I need help !  Do i seek the next psychiatrist, or what ? Frankly I don't know what's driving the price so high. Cashing out to bitcoin and then cash seems to be the most sane way to spend it. I checked the original website (nem.io) and they don't offer a list of vendors that accept NEM for anything. I believe its one of the more technologically advanced coin platforms out there, but unless you run a business and plan on paying people using NEM or a token developed on the NEM platform, there's not much to do with it. The last thing I did with NEM is buy about $100 worth of Internet of Coins (IoC) during their ICO.... I think the ICO is legit but after several months its still under development. So pretty much all you can do with it, as far as I know, is buy other coins.... That doesn't mean it won't someday be adopted by merchants or have some other utility. But given the fact that there's several billion of them, I recommend selling them. The price seems way too high, as many other commenters here have been saying. PS: DON'T use Poloniex to cash out your coins. They will likely just sit on them. Courtesy of the Poloniex support staff:  Polo are thieves, it´s a fact ! I don´t know if it´s the owners or the employes, but it´s a fact. They are thieves. And somebody has to call it out ! I tried many times to Verify my profile in poloniex but failed. Now I have to pay 0.01 ETH to withdraw 1.7ETH from it. It is really unacceptable. But I have to withdraw anyway. Maybe there is too few workers in Poloniex? Their ticket support gives immediately a "warning" that the handling of the ticket takes more time than usually. The possible reason is the increased traffic ... e.g. see https://nemnodes.org/richlist/  In a month the percentage of TOP50 has increased from 52.3 % to 53.4 %. E.g. Coincheck's wallet was 383 M and now it is 510 M. Some Nembers has sold some of their XEMs, and the Exchanges are buying all they can get ?? Edit: But Poloniex's cold wallet is in the same position than month ago. The Poloniex's hot wallet has lost some weight: 46 M to 10 M. |

Well, seems a little bit like clairvoyance. It's impossible to predict the price for the next couple of years on month base. If I would believe in I would wait until Septemer 2020 and sell everything. |

NEM (XEM) coin is developing, in May, it showed enormous pump, and now it is on a dump (-7.80%) so I will probably invest!

It looks like NEM is slowly heading back up after the recent correction, so sure, good investment opportunity. Buy on the dip, etc. The "dip" just happens to be $1.64 at the moment |

Agreed, like some early BTC investors found out over the years, and some NEM stakeholders who sold all their stake at launch in 2015 for circa $1000 |

Not long ago 0.20$ was the hovering line. 2$+ would not suprise me in anyway as new base soon |

There was no fate planned for it. It was just a free giveaway of a NEM token. No particular purpose other than getting people into its possibilities. Some stakes were given away while others were sold for nominal amounts. They still aimed for the widest possible distribution via these forums. |
