@Hyjinx - With as much as you rip on NEM, I'm surprised you would own any. You are the biggest FUD troll on the forums.
This project has it's act together. You're just butthurt that you bought at $0.55 and didn't make a quick profit. You should sell out now before it goes to $1.

It isn't FUD it is serious problems with the leadership of this project.  I pretty much called XEM correcting hard while you were still sunshine and rainbows.  BTW, we're not out of the woods yet if BTC can't break and hold 9K.  I'm fully prepared to hold to the bottom and I'll probably double my stack if the price is right.  I have the luxury of doing that and not really having to take a loss on anything as long as NEM doesn't fall off the face of the Earth.  As I've said NEM is a great project with let's say subpar leadership.
Firstly, you've never outlined what your issue with the "leadership" of this project is.

Secondly, NEM is a decentralized project. If you don't like the "leadership", make your own proposals and if the community accepts it, it will be adopted. I don't see any proposals from you. It is easy to just blame anything and everything on the team, but what specifically has been your contributions? Can you point me to the pull requests?

Thirdly, NEM is part of a market. That market is crypto. The overall market and sentiment will affect its price, no matter how you slice it. If you cannot take this risk with crypto and NEM, maybe this isn't the best investment for you. BTC and NEM can easily fall a further 50%/80% respectively. Can you be fine with it? If not, get out of the market while you can instead of selling at the bottom.

I have explained a million times how terrible the decision was to "taint" coins and wallets for both ideological and practical reasons.  Those were leadership decisions and they were undoubtedly bad ones.  Lon Wong has previously said he doesn't very much care about the price of XEM.  That is very arrogant as he uses our funds to develop the platform; probably the basis for him not caring much if he freezes trading for a couple of weeks and breeds bagholders.  All-in-all Lon just strikes me as a guy with a superiority complex and no humility whatsoever.  I don't even care so much about the lack of marketing and wasn't expecting to make a quick buck but tone-deaf management is just very painful.

As for being in crypto I'm fine with all the risks - that's why I'm here.  It just always seems like this project is under performing price-wise when way worse shitcoins more-or-less maintain their BTC ratios and move with the market.  How is it even possible that EOS and Cardano have larger market caps then NEM?  Why is XEM volume so abysmal?  For whatever reason there seems to be many more times with XEM that it just doesn't keep up with even normal market movements - usually missing upside and taking it extra hard on the downside.  What are all the other shitcoins doing that NEM isn't and can we get some of that going?

I just bought some XEM, and also downloaded the nano wallet for Mac. For some reason I don't see a public address and a receive button. I need to take my XEM from the exchange. Can anyone help me on how to get a receiving address?

Great! This means that most of the hacking backlash should be over now. An added bonus is that they probably double checked a lot of code of NEM and indeed deemed it safe.

The way this message is told, it seems to me that law enforcement is closing in on someone, or even arrested someone in their investigations.

Yea yeah:) Lon Wong bla bla. If You buy on hypes for 1$ or above that level You should have rancor for Youself not for Lon or the rest of NEM Foundation. You have speculated not they. And Lon and any other person - no one is perfect - humanum errare est. It could be much worst if the head of NEM Foundation let's say were UtopianFuture. So chill out.

By the way.. Are You prepared for accumulation of cheap XEMs?

I'am.

https://www.tradingview.com/chart/XEMUSD/oCQMGnlt-Some-sign-of-positive-reversal-here/

Last reversal was fake ( 57JPY was strong resistance point, Korean speculators are now selling XEMs with loss, they have planned to resell higher for hack victims, but hack victims dont rebuy XEM so likely, they are lost for crypto for a while) so buying incoming dip is the best way for now to enlarge XEMs stack;)

My plan looks for now like this:

33% of planned long in range 19-27JPY set to buy@ 27JPY (pending order), second 33% @19JPY, the rest (34%) in range between 20-26JPY with step 0.1JPY (so average will give around 23JPY for whole entry planned at that level.
The rest of planned XEMs to accumulate by me (50% at 19-27JPY level, so @11JPY rest of this planned is 50%) are set to take near 11JPY, for now one whole pending order at there, but after bounce from 19-27JPY area i will change that probably.

Okay we have another one temporary spike up. 40cents should be limit for this upmove, however "wave of fools or robots" can play up to 50cents mark (in JPY figures 42JPY and 53JPY). Last time i've catched that dip (not all but many of my pending orders@ Zaif was executed. Now i plan to retake my whole capital @ 40cents and the profit will stay in XEMs - in this way i have no costs from buying this XEMs, they will be sold in the future bubble maybe for 5 maybe 10$;). Now after this shortlived pump i will wait with capital retaken to another one dip - if market will be so kind to do so, if the market however will not dip i will be also happy with my XEMs that i have from dumpers activity.

\\edit as i see 35cents is a resistance area i get my money here @37JPY and take my XEMs to wallet out of exchange. However spike up is still possible, but there is 99% probability, that will be shortlived, so beware! Of course if You are longterm holder You can simply ignore this call;)

For some reason, my verification at binance wouldn´t go through, working on it. The only other exchanges, who allways stand straight, are Bitfinex (don´t know why they have bad reputation), and Bittrex. And for sure NOT Polo.

Binance is overwhelmed at the moment, and XEM trading hasn't actually started yet.
The recent 24hr trade volume has already exceeded the busiest day during the last spike when coincheck began refunds. $180mil then vs $255mil now. And tons of people have XEM "lost" on exchanges, preventing them from trading.
The initial volume upon the Binance news, was about 10x the initial volume on coincheck refund news.

With that said, It doesn't appear that the pump has even started yet. And we may even find a new price to settle at - well above the rate it has been. Especially since the hacker doesn't have much, if anything left to dump. - Or possibly has been detained.

IMO, 33cents is still dirt cheap. Especially if you compare to the growth of other Alts, we ain't seen nothing yet!

ormin79, watching your tradingview charts. I like it, but you have a weird approach to this. You said that xem shines 50$-60$, then you drop xem and talk about the future of a huge bubble around 5$-10$ (maybe!). Decide what exactly you believe in)

Thank you! You just put the cherry on the top of my day! I haven't gotten any donations from this forum yet. Part of my goal is to help share information here that hasn't been spreading well. We all know NEM media presence and promotion is lacking. EG: Lon Wong makes a powerful statement, and it is repeated 0 times by anyone with more of a following.  Huh

Some more updates:
Americans are starting to get logged in and checking on things (Buying NEM)
Binance still hasn't started trading.
Huobi has started going nuts.
We are still way above daily volume average, but no big bags have dumped yet.
Cryptopia deposits from yesterday are still stuck. - No word on current deposit status.

Bittrex to Delist 82 Altcoins at End of March

XEM is not one of them.

XEM will still be listed
