How many accounts with only 1 post got to claim their stake?

I had suggested to not let them claim. It was quite obvious most were shill accounts. Still the distribution of NEM is better than most.

Everyone was allowed to buy one more stake for their loved one, wasn't it ? Effectively people were able to buy two stakes with two accounts. If you take that into account, fake accounts should not surprise. Anonymous purchase is another reason to use a fake account. I am actually very surprised at the number of veteran accounts NEM was able to collect since there aren't that many active veteran accounts around here and veteran accounts are not known to send money to support a new coin.

Even that 2 per account should not have been allowed. Left open an exploit.

Even if we assume 10% of the new accounts were genuine, the mix has been quite healthy. The distribution could have been better but compared to NXT it is very good.

Probably that it's essentially done, but a few more tweaks are being given before it's released.

Since it is Java it should be platform independent.

Just getting caught up.  Frustrating about the stakes on the asset exchange.

But it is great news about the one-click installer.

Wow they caught a bunch! Not that it makes a difference for them when it comes to NEM. We knew all along that some would slip through. We still reached our goal of having the best distribution so far. Someone just mentioned how impressive it was to have as many veteran accounts as we do, and I have to agree there.

It will be interesting to see how NODE does. I'm a stakeholder and they have my full support as well. Those guys are no nonsense lol. There is no Pat there to take care of everyones little problems. I'm impressed with NODE, looks like they will deliver a rather good system.

The devs just clearly stated that they are not trying to be NEM or Nxt, which is good they have their own identity.

I just can't wait until NEM officially launches, it's going to be so sweet! Every week is a month in the crypto world, or worse, lol.
It's been a long time coming, but good to see steady progress.

Here is the link to my trust settings here on forum. This trust system is very unfair. I make good on every deal Ive ever made. I had many, many deals as you can see and I never scammed anyone. All it takes is a random account to give you negative trust and youre screwed. Tomatocage has never even talked to me ever but when the random acct hit me with negative trust, Tomatocage came right behind him and marked neg trust again so obviously he was the one who did it. You can look at Tomatocage trust and see how many of his compeditors at the currency exchange thread he labeled scammers. I never scammed anyone. My trust was green over 20 before this. I hope it never happens to you because the mods cant help you.

I went through the list.  P stands for Puppet.  A lot of those names are on the NEM stakeholder list and several own more than 3.

vonBerlichingen, Ziustag, BierKoch, TheGreatWodan, Manowar  are listed as P3 on the Node stakeholder list and had their stakes removed, but they're still present on the NEM stakeholder list.  That's presumably one guy with five stakes and he hasn't claimed any tokens for them yet.

waltz, ney, rockhill, beida, BitTom, shenjie are P18 and I know a couple of those names were on the NEM stakeholder list.  I find it strange Beida would get a refund from NEM months ago (yet made a post today about NEM  Huh ) but keep a stake with the Ney, Waltz and Rockhill account.  He claimed those tokens; so he may have sold them already.

That's only just from briefly scanning the node stakeholder list - a lot more of their busted socks are probably on the NEM stakeholder list but you'ld have to go from P1 to P20 and search for them in the NEM list.

How they found these socks I don't know.  They made a post on it.  They did taint analysis like NEM but also went through other factors.    They may had collected IPs from the NXTL account generator and cross compared them.  Alternatively, they could just be grouping inactive newbies with similar names which really isn't busting socks but busting inactives with username similarities.

you mean users that are declared sock puppets on the node stake holder list are on the nem stake holder list?

lucky i got in free into that lol i thought it was a scam so just posted interested and forgot about it. nice surprise to get that its close to launching and doing well. Smiley

ps. anyone interested in nxt, should read this.

https://nxtforum.org/news-and-announcements/development-roadmap-update-2014-07-05/?topicseen

NEM was the first of this kind of distribution. The advantage of being the first is the surprise factor and that's the reason NEM has many veteran acc. and few sock puppets. Other coins saw that and imitated and surely there were many socks the second time around. Tbh, I am not a fan since it is too messy. Straight IPO with a stakeholder target and a limit on investment work better.

I found more.  P9 - BestofSR, cryptonikus, Deftonikus, Djentriser and TeseracT.  Busted as socks on NODE.
All present on the NEM stakeholder list, haven't collected any tokens yet.

This looks pretty extensive.  It's a good chance that all the socks on NODEs' list are probably on the NEM list.  Seems like some had collected tokens (and presumably sold).  The others can still be refunded.

Perhaps should clarify first how NODE declared them to be socks.  They never had a public or transparent taint analysis as far as I know.   In a lot of circumstances, I see them just grouping inactives based on similar names.

For instance, P5 consists of two guys.  Bytemother and ivanluiso.  No chain transactions to put them together.  They registered weeks apart.  Only thing I see in common are messages in Spainish and both are named Ivan (meh I guess that's a probable link but still).
