As of only 15 minutes ago, I was gettign CONNECTION_REFUSED from bitcointalk.org.  This seemed to be happening for about 20 minutes.  I got the same reply on a second network (so I know it's not local firewall or whatnot).  Things are back up now, but is there any comment on what that was?  I don't think it was Thermos' announced up/down time because the timing wasn't right for that.

Same issue happened for me as well
The site was down for a while
I checked with is it down and the network did confirm a down status

Checking the time log it was around 30 minutes was there an unexpected maintenance (didn't see a schedule maintenance warning)

Scratch that solved my question
30 minute warning that explains why Smiley

Damn, I actually saw that upcoming downtime thread and thought it wasn't right because I wasn't reading the time correctly?  Which makes me think of another question: is there a way to set my prefs to use 24hour time?  I really don't like am/pm when it comes to timetables and timestamps.

Thank you for this. Makes my life easier ( adjusted to match local time )

Also, Thank you for your continued work on the site. Many would be lost without it

Wonderful!  Thanks!  I guess I should go looking through all those control panel pages for other settings I might find useful Smiley
