BTW, the EVGA 1300 SuperNova G2 has only 6 PCI-E. If you want to overclock two S3, you need 8 PCI-E. I guess you can buy some adapters to fit the two missing.
I went for a Corsair RM-1000.
No, EVGA1300 G2 has 8 connectors: 4x1 (single) and 2x2(double)=8 I have it, so I checked. Strange it clearly said 6 on the box. Damm, if a knew i would have bought that one.

what an nonsense. did you actually took time to read or just post B'S because you can? did I complained about tax or amount we paying thanks to nonsense from bitmain when they posting items?
example:
at the beginning when s1 was like 1.45btc I paid 22£ for each customs.
Later when they was below 1 btc was paying 40 something per box.
now ,when s1 was like .39 btc after coupon i still had to paid 47£ per box.
nothing has been done to help us reduce the overall cost of miner even though real price of miner changed significantly. but when RMA must be done bitmain asking to declare 10$. If anyone asking for something why we should expect different? why not declare real item like server or computer part? instead better be good boy and let's give headache on the other side of the water.
not mention that ups charging you as well what ever they want. They will not give you receipt even. cash on delivery or fuck off. Try to ask ups fella to back up charge with receipt. In my case this was end of world for him. tried to explain they don't give receipt.if that's the case why they charging? bitmain paying once for parcel and we.are paying again. aparently delivery is included within price...
Agree and sympathise, however UPS always give me a receipt, and the last few times I even rang up and paid over the phone by CC so I didn't have to pay the guy when he arrived. Alll BITMAIN need to do is classify them correctly and use the correct invoice price, I'd be happy with that.

Steadily rising "VAT" with dropping unit cost, AND they refuse to give you a receipt? sounds like the delivery person is running a scam. They may have learned "bitcoin miner" means the the recipient won't tolerate delays.

As per the datasheet values below, S3 can be overclocked to 504Ghs and further to 554Ghs. The stock clock speed is set in between 225M and 250M and voltage per chip lies in between 0.72Vand 0.75V per chip (366W/S3). When overclocking to 504Ghs it will be consuming around 390W at 250M Clockspeed. And when overclocking to 554Ghs the clock speed might be 275M and power consumption around 488Watts. Further overclocking may not be possible, everything lies in finding the sweet spot frequency. Take a look at DC-DC converters, they are a lot in nos, do you have any idea? Even this new chip consumes lower voltage than S1.
S3 Datasheet Values Voltage(V) | Hash Rate(GH/s) | Current(A) | Total power(W) | W/GH 0.72 14.18 10.40 7.49 0.528 0.75 15.75 12.24 9.18 0.583 0.80 17.33 15.20 12.16 0.702 0.85 17.33 20.00 17.00 0.981
Questions on this chart. do we come at the .75 volt setting stock or the .80 setting stock. Seems to me that the real value is the .72 volt setting at .528 w/gh so my question is if we can do .72 volts and hash 14.18 GH/s using only 7.49 watts a chip can we do a little lower? Would .69 volts get 13.8 gh/s 9 amps 6.21 watts and .450 w/gh? It would be really nice to find out the low end of these along with the over clock We need to try it and find out how much is practical. Also when overclocking the temperature/HWE% need to be under lower. The chip's operating temperature from specs is 35 but in 478Ghs/366W itself the temperature in bitmain's image its self is over 35.

seems many of u dont understand customs can keep your package becouse of wrong declaration in value and even gave u some additional costs for lying about real price Bitmain had that problems and many packages was returned or held by customs, thats why its no more 120USD but the real price

Did i asked for 120$ on the box or i asked for real value with no bollocks? Do you understand difference between honest price and honest description and request from any one like me or you? Im asking bitmain to declare whats in the box the way it should be and the value which should be real; not taken from space. Seems like bitmain because of issue choose to declare higher price because this way he can pleased customs and units are not returned or seized by them. Once BTC are in his wallet fuck the customer. I will repeat that once again: S1 price was going down to level of 0.4btc but i was still paying over 40£ per box. I did paty that when s1 was at level of 1BTC. Kapisch? Can you see what i mean? Charge is coming from no one else than UPS and customs but is given thanks to declaration on the box from bitmain. I'm real fun of bitmain but this game is getting to expensive. Specially for people from UK. Damn you EU.

I guess he tough I needed 8 single PCI-E. Anyway whatever. Worst case, i will run the RM 1000 at 90%+. Thx for digging that out.... Bitmain please take note. Do the same for us. At least a reasonable value instead of full value. Usd 50-100 seems a fair value as computer accessories.
$10 is not an unreasonable value for a DEFECTIVE board, but declaring a low value for a NEW product is not exactly apples-to-apples. Didn't I mentioned reasonable & not 10usd. And also referring to posts above... Bitmain themselves are not declaring the item price correctly. We buy using btc & there is no usd value in their website. Also declaring the item properly such as computer accessories so that custom clearance will be much easier for many other countries. Many get slapped with taxes ranging 10-30%. Those lucky ones not getting slapped with that please stop trolling & talk crap also miners getting stucked @ customs cos they don't know which category it falls under. Just a small request not begging. If Bitmain cares about loyal supporters & customers, imo they should at least consider such small request from a buyer who wants to purchase more than 50 units. You were asking to declare a 50-100 USD value for an item that costs $400+ and you are acting like everyone wants that. I don't. I want the declared value to match my invoice so that it would clear customs without delays. Any time wasted on clearance will likely cost me more than any tax or brokerage fee I might need to pay. If you want different treatment stop trolling (in your own words) the announcement thread and talk to bitmain directly about your specific situation instead of soliciting tax fraud on public forums.

Two of the cables have two ends on them, so just keep in mind that if you use both plugs on the one cable all the current for the two plugs is going through that one cable, and more importantly all the current for two plugs is going through the connector on PSU. You shouldn't pull more than ~200W per plug if you're going to use both.

and the winner is number ? Back to topic. I was wondering if anyone got a coupon or if anyone has ordered in batches 1 and 2. I am hoping I get it around July 9 10 or 11 as sometimes it comes early.
