Waht algo do you mine this with?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=186785
Here is the link to my trust settings here on forum. This trust system is very unfair. I make good on every deal Ive ever made. I had many, many deals as you can see and I never scammed anyone. All it takes is a random account to give you negative trust and youre screwed. Tomatocage has never even talked to me ever but when the random acct hit me with negative trust, Tomatocage came right behind him and marked neg trust again so obviously he was the one who did it. You can look at Tomatocage trust and see how many of his compeditors at the currency exchange thread he labeled scammers. I never scammed anyone. My trust was green over 20 before this. I hope it never happens to you because the mods cant help you.

its a friendly "slightly" conceptless launched coin. But it feels somehow refreshing during all that rant run and scam stuff.
With a little help it could get a nice fun-coin. :-)

ha ha well indeed - but i see 99% of all crypto here as "concept-less"  far more important is the integrity of the intention. (which after all is what Crypto is about if you think about it)

Chris its Quark clone and thus Quark algo - you can find miners in the mining section, Sgminer.

The patches here - http://www.domblogger.net/puzzle/q/ - which I wrote to build the quarkcoind daemon on OS X work to build the mimiccoind daemon on OS X

http://www.domblogger.net/puzzle/q/serialize.h.patch

That's a patch that is borrowed from bitcoin

http://www.domblogger.net/puzzle/q/quark-master_osx.patch

That's a patch that is specific to the quarkcoin complex proof of work, also used by mimiccoin

In top level of source directory, apply with

patch -p1 < /path/to/filename.patch

order applied doesn't matter.

-=-

I'm going to try to build OS X GUI but I am neither OS X or Qt gui (I prefer Linux and gtk2+)

But I'll try to get it. OS X users can at least use those patches to build the daemon.

This coin is dead.

Maybe for commerce value but that makes it easy to mine and fun to play with.

gtfo with this coin, this is not the coin of a community but a selfish individual

for someone that frequents this community - and a currency with a 4 year until halving , how do you explain that?

just give me the technicals ?

gtfo with this coin, this is not the coin of a community but a selfish individual

for someone that frequents this community - and a currency with a 4 year until halving , how do you explain that?

just give me the technicals ?

Let me explain it to you in simple words:

In Cryptocurrencies you deal with something that is called difficulty. The more people mine, the harder it gets to receive the reward. Still with me?

So if someone launches a totally worthless coin like this one (why worthless? No infrastructure, no plans, no funds, no community) most people won´t mine it > effect is: difficulty stays decent and those few who mine receive large shares of the coin.

Now let´s assume just for coincidence one larger community, let´s call it "Quark" for the moment, is looking for a Merge mining coin, "discovers" this small and unimportant currency and decides that this could be a good opportunity to use it as merge mining coin. A handful of assumeably faithful "Quarkers" present this as a good opportunity and motivate the masses to mine this coin.

What happens is that difficulty goes naturaly up and people receive much smaller shares because the interest is higher.

* * * *

So, those who started early with mining had a huge advantage but who could know that this would turn into a valuable coin, right?

Unless this wasn´t the plan from the very first moment, this looks like a totally fair thing to deal with.
