pineapples,

Your transactions are stored in your wallet.dat file unfortunately, part in which I'm seeing issues with. This is why they show up without syncing. You'll see the greyed balance increase as you verify your entire transaction history by synchronizing with the blockchain.

Thank You,
Viz.

no Sad

i'm fully in sync and still grey. i also have a Genesis transaction which is not showing as fully confirmed (an incomplete green clock), yet double clicking on the details gives it 188680 confirms.
this tx is not shwing up in > listtransactions

i tried this in two ways, using the wallet.dat from the ubuntu daemon, and deleting wallet.dat, restarting and importing the privkey.

it mirrors the result i was getting from ubuntu daemon Tongue

i really need some help. lol

Pineapples, did this issue get sorted?

This is pretty old, might have said it before, but I feel like every time I try to GPU mine NIRO, the difficulty jumps 5x, like as someone jumps on it that has 10 times more hash or so.

I have had a few goes when diff has been low over last few weeks and have come to the same conclusion.

That seems it would be just the combination of more hash raising the difficulty when you jump on and make a few blocks, the decimal scale to determine difficulty from the nBits target is not necessarily twice the number twice the hash required to solve the next block.

Do you notice that the difficulty moves beyond your ability to get any blocks with your given hashrate?
If this is the case it might be that the difficulty increase bounds is a little aggressive with large changes in hash power.

Thank You,
Viz.

Many goodies coming not with just new release (0.2.1) but also in the white papers as I am finalizing the design of many new components that are arising from the P2P infrastructure of Nexus. It will give all of you a greater scope of the different pieces that are going to be put into motion, how they will benefit Nexus / The Internet, and how they will bring more visibility and value into The Niro.

No, i've been ignoring it.
I was just thinking I should try again *sigh*, means re-syncing again.

I did send videlicet a link to the debug.logs but like I said, have been ignoring it til today.

What's the txid please? It appears as though it is an offline transaction which means it was never confirmed by the network. This happens if no other nodes received it or the input was marked as spent and it was not accepted into memory pool.

You are speaking of a grey square, correct?

Thank You,
Viz.

Pineapples, here is what I do when I have issues with the wallet.

I setup a new wallet on another machine/rig, unzip and copy the bootstrap to appdata folder, then let it connect and sync up rest of the blocks.  Once new wallet is fully synced I close wallet and unplug ethernet, then I replace new wallet dat with my most recent back up of wallet.  Open wallet, still disconnected from internet, and let it do its thing, once loaded reconnect internet.  Has worked everytime for me.

Your issue sounds different to whatever problems I get, Hope you get your coins back.

no grey square, in the qt it looks like a normal tx (genesis) with  the little clock is green and is but one tick from being full.
the transaction is in block #348948 so has several hundred thousand confirms :p

here's the blockhash

It has reached 294518 confirms now the client has synced :p

I have tried resyncing from zero a couple of times i recall.
Is there a way to use the downloaded chain as a bootstrap, or to force the client to rescan the entire chain?
Is there a way to use the console in ubuntu-qt? I can't find it.

.

edit.
I just tried again, same result no matter how i do it.

Npos creates trust blocks the value of which is effected by several factors including interest rate.

Interesting development in quantum computing, http://spectrum.ieee.org/nanoclast/computing/hardware/qubits-quantum-computing-with-run-off-the-mill-cmos-transistors This should increase the relevance of crypto's that have quantum resistance.

Been reading some stuff about cryptography, at current date people either don't know quantum computer exist or don't care but when they become more popular cryptos with less security will go down fast as people will freak out about the security of those blockchains, I don't know though if Skein-1024 and Keccak-1600 can resist a quantum attack, anyway I think in 2016 is the best we have to secure the blockchain, here is an article     http://arstechnica.com/security/2013/09/of-course-nsa-can-crack-crypto-anyone-can-the-question-is-how-much/
