There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Try to message this user here:  paulthetafy

He might have been the operator of that pool.

I think the only working cpu pool now for NXS is nxscpumining.com

yes....is really not optimized...

last question....all the night I was mining SOLO....

[MASTER] Coinshield Network | New Block 1633561
[METERS] 324021.877289 KHash/s | Height = 1633561
[METERS] 327025.053030 KHash/s | Height = 1633561
[METERS] 325873.243108 KHash/s | Height = 1633561
[METERS] 327484.269989 KHash/s | Height = 1633561
[MASTER] Coinshield Network | New Block 1633562
[METERS] 315879.696632 KHash/s | Height = 1633562
[MASTER] Coinshield Network | New Block 1633563
[METERS] 316174.032660 KHash/s | Height = 1633563
[MASTER] Coinshield Network | New Block 1633564
[METERS] 324380.293425 KHash/s | Height = 1633564
[METERS] 325133.997122 KHash/s | Height = 1633564
[METERS] 326848.489517 KHash/s | Height = 1633564
[METERS] 325686.913083 KHash/s | Height = 1633564

But nothing in my wallet, something wrong?? (IP and WALLET are ok, wallet are "open")

Thx another time for the very nice help here
SOLO mining is not really good way to see if there is something wrong with the network or not.

The Prime channel mining pool nexusminingpool.com is now back up and running!!!

I've maintained all user balances from before the old server died, but unfortunately I have lost the statistics in the web front end.  Stats might look a little funny until we find the first block Smiley

Let me know if you have any trouble!

Are you sure?  We have > 190 connections and don't appear to have had any downtime since I brought it online.  Check out the WPS graph on the homepage.

Haven't read through all 340 pages of this thread so could be asking redundant questions...

I wanted to ask someone on the NXS team about accessibility. The biggest wall cryptos appear to have (to me) at the moment is accessibility, in that they are hard to understand from a layman's perspective, and the process of acquiring or buying coins is so complicated. Its certainly not something that 90% of the people I know could figure out, or would want to take the time to figure out. Im sure there are steps being taken to design a more streamlined process, but i was wondering what that interface would look like or how easy it will become. Any idea when cryptocurrencies in general will become easier for more people to access? It seems to me that the coin that is as easy to buy as sending an email or throwing money around on a phone in traditional banks, will be very successful. Whats holding this back from happening? look forward to hearing about it, I am an eager supporter of the NXS project, especially the satellites.

are we gonna get paid the balances we had before the pool died ?

In short yes, although you might have to wait a while... Payments are made when the pool mines a block - it does not wait for confirmations, it becomes part of the coinbase of the mined block itself.  Due to the decaying block reward it is never possible to pay all miners in any given block.  So instead the pool prioritises payments by balance outstanding, paying the highest first, until a block is full.  If the balances dont add up to a full block reward we will fill it up with any smaller due payments to fill up the block, meaning that sometimes much lower outstanding balances get included.  So with this in mind, if you have a larger outstanding balance of say 1.5-2 NXS then you will be paid out relatively soon, whereas if you have a smaller balance you will likely have to wait until your payment fits into a block.

Okey if we could do some price speculation for 2018. How high do you think nexus can go in 2018?

I would say that nexus is really undervalued at the moment and going under the radar. I think it could go up to $20 next year which mean they would be among the top 10 coins which I don't see impossible.

If you are speculating it would be helpful if you could provide reasoning for your speculation

I will quote Garrett Steele who summarized it much better then I could:

Quote
“Nexus. Blockchain Redefined. Most other projects are taking the traditional Bitcoin blockchain, or a similar one, and making a small change to it to make themselves unique. Colin has decided to redesign the blockchain and make a 3D Chain which is more decentralized and more secure than any other traditional blockchain can be due to the limitations inherent in a simple chain. Nexus is the future… it is the evolution of the blockchain and nobody else is even attempting to improve the blockchain that I know of.”

True, but it's a good entry or accumulation point for believers in the Nexus project Smiley

This is happening to so many good crypto projects right now. But honestly, i never bought the "ppl sold the Nexus conference news bs" that was being posted about Nexus price correction. Some ppl with some serious behind the scenes news are selling off.

at block 1632416, Nexus found its second length-11 chain of primes:  http://nxsprime.com/

congratulations as always to the devs, miners, and entire community.

i wonder if anyone would notice if i wore a shirt that said only:

"3677742950302760198233601508683799231587154899462038938391359776509684082743415 7816426944425342709421474441992212929633404915390367990494107824176339152333415 6321577115317329365327937040246989965901867629473842175162337144628047117159377 7833858217800885125128948179027793398966078231644963249642997007"

that makes two length-11 chains, so i will refrain from posting again until we've found five, and then ten, ... and then a length-12 chain.
