I'm in need of a bit of help configuring my miner properly.

As it stands, any configuration I have attempted either doesn't seem to work correctly, or is constantly rejecting shares with the message "Share is above target"

Unfortunately I can't seem to get around it on my own and would appreciate any help.

This was the latest configuration I attempted (user and password removed);
cgminer.exe -o stratum.dgb.theblocksfactory.com:9000 -u xxxx -p xxxx -I 18 -g 1 -w 256 --gpu-engine 1000 --thread-concurrency 8192 --temp-target 75 --temp-overheat 83

I am trying to run it with a PowerColor Radeon HD 7850

Try like stated here (I guess the missing difficulty-multiplier parameter causes the "share above target" error)

I don't think cgminer 3.7.2 will do the Qubit algorithm.
You need sgminer for a Radeon HD 7850

And make sure you specify the algorithm on your command line. If you have a custom cgminer that will do Qubit, your command line would look something like this:
Quote
cgminer.exe --qubitcoin -o stratum.dgb.theblocksfactory.com:9000 -u xxxx -p xxxx -I 18 -g 1 -w 256 --gpu-engine 1000 --thread-concurrency 8192 --temp-target 75 --temp-overheat 83

My command line for an HD 7970 GPU looks like this:
Quote
sgminer.exe -k qubitcoin -o stratum+tcp://stratum.dgb.theblocksfactory.com:9000 -u Chernobyl_Exports.ub2 -p X  -I 13

Happy mining  Grin
