For all who are still holding BTM (me included)
I am working on a new QT (I am not a dev so slow progress) for BTM, where I am using GameCredits as base for the new build.
This means I am aiming for the same re-targeting properties as GMC and EarthCoin, with the exception that BTM would still require 720 conformations (to discourage multipools)
Hopefully this will be a successful project, and something I can finish after my holiday.

If someone is willing to help with this please let me know, all help is welcome.

Nobody is mining it hence no blocks are being solved and therefore no confirmations. I can't get my wallet to sync and it appears the last block solved was 46956, 11 days ago (about the same time the only pool, xhash, disappeared with a shit load of coins).

Small update:

Long time community member and contributor dbkeys has hired a seasoned cryptocurrency dev to try to solve some of the issues that we have.

Regarding the issue of there not being any BTM pools: I'm working on that now and will update on the progress there when I can.

Block Reward: 20 BTM (visual)
Block Time: 120 Seconds
Block Maturity: 720 Blocks (~1 day) to discourage multipools
Block Halving: Reward halves every 3 years, with intermediate decrease every 18 months (20 coins initially, 15 after 1.5 years, 10 after 3 years, etc...)
Difficulty Retargeting: 720 Blocks (~1 day)
Total Coin Supply: ~27.58 million (27,579,894.73108000 exactly)

difficulty Retargeting: 720 Blocks (~1 day)

really?

I understand that this prevents miners from dumping, but doesn't this make the coin really slow in terms of a transaction?

When not enough people are mining it relative to the difficulty it does make it very slow, yes.

For a while we had some community members theorizing on solutions to that problem, and now a new dev with lots of cryptocurrency experience has been hired by dbkeys specifically to try to implement something new I believe.

Nice, thanks to dbkeys for supporting the coin. Zerotime? masternodes?

Not sure exactly what they have planned yet, but I'd assume that it's something that will end up getting the blockchain moving again to start with. Slack is probably the best place to get the latest info on that stuff. If anyone still needs a slack invite let me know and I'll get one for you sent to an email address you choose.

Now would be a good time to do something with bitmark.  Poloniex is at its all time high in volume, with a massive influx of new users because of Ethereum.  Their trollbox is very busy and lots of people are still marking, so new people are being exposed to btm.

good suggestion!! BTM is still one of the best alts going forward in terms of real world use cases, and it's already being used on poloniex.

need to get some big-ass giveaways going to get new people using it for marking

no premine, no ico...hard to do giveaways, it has to be done by the community all pitching in.

Most certainly not, and i doubt it will come back. However, i heard someone was mining heavily to temporarily get the blockchain going so they could send their coins somewhere.

also, BTM could be brought back but i seriously doubt it.
