Hi guys,

I am looking for a loan of 100 BTC, this does not have to be all from one person if multiple people are willing to lend to me.
I realise I am a new member (only registered yesterday) however I have been lurking and reading for a while and my reason for registering is for posting this post.
Whilst I know I am trustworthy with the amount of scamming I have read about going on here recently and the anonymity of bitcoin I understand this may be not easy to believe. I am willing to do anything required to prove I am legit - open to suggestions on that one.

I would like this loan to be over 28 days with 10% interest (negociable) with 4 weekly repayments, again terms negociable.

I am happy to answer any/all questions.

Thanks for your time.

Why do you need 100BTC?  How are you planning on paying it back plus interest in 28 days?

Hi bo, thanks for your question.
I require the funds to settle another debt with much higher interest rate, so this will be saving me money in interest.
I am easily able to repay this from my salary which is paid weekly hence the weekly repayment dates.

So what are you going to do with 100 Bitcoins?  Are you going to send them to the person(s) you owe?  Are you going to sell them and convert them to cash into your bank account and then pay your existing loan?

Do you have a Mtgox account?

Not any loan shark trouble my current lender is regulated but the interest rate is insane.
I am able to pay off my current loan in full by the end of the month however I will save a huge amount of interest even after conversion fees and interest if I were able to get the BTC loan, pay off my current debt in full and then settle this BTC loan weekly with my disposable income.
I am planning on doing exactly that bo and yes I do have a mtgox account

I can fund 100 BTC and agree with the terms of repayment.  However, to ensure you're not a bot, I request a pic of yourself holding a piece of paper with your forum name on it, with a shoe on your head before I send.

oh, I would have appreciated it.  I was thinking of a random piece of fruit, but there is a subtle difference between a pineapple and a punnet of raspberries.  Beware the pointed stick (and if you understand the reference, I might fund some of this).

Lol
I was thinking of a banana rather than a shoe, but the fruit reference is something different (and not Time Bandits - also probably obscure).  Don't worry, watching in any case.

(Being sensible) I'm guessing you have a penalty interest at month end or something similar.  However, in the interest of openness it wouldn't hurt to explain who this non-loan shark entity is and what the deal is.

(But for now, I need to sleep off some wine and get up early for a semi-competitive run tomorrow (stupid event) - much easier being lazy.  So I'll check back again tomorrow.

I had an emergency and needed cash quickly so I took out a payday loan with horrendous interest rate - this was before I was aware of this forum - so if I can clear it I will save a lot of interest as the APR including fees per year is 4214%. I can repay this in full at any time, interest is calculated on a daily basis  so this would save a huge amount of money.

Hi - thanks for your questions and concern which are all very valid.
I cannot go to my bank else I would have done that in the first place and not taken out such a high apr loan.
It was an emergency so I had to take it out and now I am just trying to lower the interest I am due to pay back.
It isnt a problem for me to pay back the loan on the terms I have already agreed however it makes financial sense if I can get this loan to pay it off and save quite a bit of money.
I also understand the problem with me being brand new to the forum with a low post count etc but to be honest I dont think post count and member age are that strong ways to score someones trust either. Like I said I am willing to verify my id, provide proof of earnings or anything else you require, only I know I am not going to scam and I understand this.

Sorry to say so, but it looks like the only purpose you've registered in this forum is for this loan. Seriously, Turbor has a point here. Unless someone could do this loan with you physically in person and/or get really creditable information from you (like what the bank does when they give you a loan), there's a high chance that you're only one of those scammers we've met this couple of months here.

I might be wrong, but better be safe then sorry here (note:I'm paranoid  Smiley)

I have been open and upfront that the only reason I registered on this forum is to make this post however that in itself does not make me a scammer.
I also have said I will be more than happy to send verification of id/address/salary or anything else as I am not a scammer.
I also do understand that only I know this and everything you have said is very valid and I accept the fact I may not get a loan here but it is worth a try, if I do not get one it is not the end of the world however I would save some money if I did.

I know - as I said, I'm paranoid out here lately as the occurance of scams have been blatantly high lately. You could provide a list of information and identity you'll be willing to disclose to the lender and see if the loaners out here would give you one. Kluge, Patrick and co would be the first people on the list to PM also.

Things I am willing to provide are as follows:

Passport scan for proof of ID
Drivers licence scan for proof of ID and address
Scan of last 4 weeks salary slips to provide proof of regular income

These are what I can think of off the top of my head and is what is usually required by banks for loans (2 forms of id + proof of income).
If anything else is requested I can see what I can do.

I've watched this thread, and would consider it, but all my coins are tied up for at least a couple weeks. Fwiw.

If I were to make the loan, I'd probably be convinced if you scanned the paper documenting the payday loan. Again, fwiw, since I really can't make the loan right now.

The purpose of BTC loans is to help the BTC community.  Preferably the loans are backed by mining proceeds or a BTC service.

You aren't a miner, you don't do anything related to BTC.  You simply found this forum and started begging for money.

Where else do you beg for money?

How many other usernames do you have on this forum?  How many other loans have you taken out on this forum?

What are your other usernames?  I have a few guesses.

How do you possibly know that I am not a miner?
Its not begging if I repay with interest.
I have no other usernames and never taken any loans or conducted any trades with BTC with anyone in this forum or otherwise, this should be pretty easy to check with my IP.

What are you going to do if Bitcoin prices rise to ~7 dollars in the next ~30 days? You'd have to pay a lot more to pay back those 100 BTC than paying back the insane loan you have right now.

This is a very good point which I have considered and this is the risk I am willing to take, I am paying funds from my salary so it is guaranteed and I am not counting on anything else to pay back the loan. It would need to rise that much in price within a week to make my current loan a better option which I think is unlikely, which is why I wish to pay back weekly to off set the dollar/btc fluctuations.

even if its not a conventional scam. this offer reaks to high hell.

maybe your solution should be NOT getting more loans as you've clearly fucked up the first one you got.

Very suspicious though

and you can't spell "definitely" Roll Eyes you would think that a newbie trying to gain respect will try to at least spell properly.

It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

I havent "fucked" anything up as you politely put it.
I couldnt get a better deal elsewhere and needed the funds quickly - I am not trying to find another cheaper loan to save money.

May be suspicious but again does not mean this is a scam, it isnt.
I am sorry my spelling is not 100% I did not realise I had to have perfect spelling and grammar to be trustworthy.

Sure, you may be 100% legit, but that doesn't mean people will automatically trust you, just because you said you were. If you act suspiciously (grammar & spelling mistakes, low post count, inconsistent story, etc.), you're creating a bad image for yourself. Just a word of advice. Wink

Thanks for the advice, english language was never my strong point.
Low post count was explained from the start as was the reason for this post.
Story hasnt changed since its the truth.
I also understand people will not automatically trust me I have said that on numerous occasions and also offered various forms of ID to verify.

You acknowledge all of our concerns, yet do nothing to belay them.  You offer to do anything to validate your identity, except taking a picture of yourself.  I realize the shoe picture is a little unorthodox, but so is asking for a loan via bitcoins.  It isn't demeaning and quite a few people have complied with this request.

I have no problem taking a photo of myself holding my ID and/or paper saying my username or anything else.
I will not do anything undignified though such as holding a shoe on my head.

lol i am not desperate enough to send a pic of a shoe on my head lol
i am legit and i appreciate its hard to believe but I am - any way i can verify that i will

You were desperate enough to take out a 4000% loan, but you aren't desperate enough to take a picture with a shoe on your head?  That is a huge red flag.

The purpose of BTC loans is to help the BTC community.  Preferably the loans are backed by mining proceeds or a BTC service.

I agree with this.  Somebody must have put out the word that there are a bunch of suckers on this forum that are willing to lend to anybody for a profit ( or a good sob story) .

.onion hacker forums are full of posts describing the suckers in this forum... I've seen them, and it wasn't just now, it was a few months ago.

Maybe if you had a better sob story people would be more willing to help you.

It seems like every half decent sob story around here gets at least 50 BTC.

I IM'ed Projects with some very basic questions.  He ignored the important questions, sent back a useless response to clarify the one optional question, used "u" instead of "you", used incorrect capitalization, and neglected punctuation.  I'm not wasting any more time with this one.

Any advices from the op or others would be grateful.
I am new to bitcoin and have just purchased a pc to mine and for gaming  (cant really game on my laptop well) and I am also waiting for D3 and will be playing it intensively when it is released.
The PC I have bought was in a bundle with a 21.5 inch monitor, keyboard and mouse and was a good price however I know I need to upgrade to do the above.
Please advise me what I should/need to upgrade to do this

•Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium
•Intel Pentium Dual Core processor
•4Gb RAM
•500Gb hard drive
•USB optical mouse and keyboard included
•DVD+RW drive
•21.5 inch monitor
•8x USB port; HDMI

Wasnt a hijack at all was very relevant to the op.
I am new to bitcoin and do want to start mining I have resigned myself to the fact I will not get a loan here which is understandable like I said I am not desperate for it and will end up paying it off myself anyway was just trying to save myself some money.
Despite what people may think this was a genuine post and I intend to be part of the bitcoin community and will be sticking around hence the post for help on the other topic.
