I'm still waiting on thr minor updated wallet that will take care of a last synce issue. Oce it does ill test send 10 coin to and 11 coin from bittrex. If you like test send only a small amoung (5coins) as a test run both ways on mintpal. Let us know the results too. It should work. They really should cange tot eh new wallet. I wont ask any of them to until it has now issues. Should be a bug free version shortly

If it can run the the Raspberry it should be fine. The wallet will load the blockchain. once done it only updates the new blocks that add or stake. It also depends on your sd card. The more the merrier. But a normal memory card used to say run my 2 Fury' scryptminers on a raspberry should handle the wallet.

I just I tested on Bittrex with no issues both sent and received coins worked perfectly. I just Poloniex both sent and received coins worked perfectly. For both of those check your email to confirm the sent from there coins. They wont send unless you confirm it. XLB multipool who is on new wallet has sent coins to me as well on new. I test Bittrexx when it was on old wallet and it worked. It work just now too. It may be on new wallet at this point. Anyway I have both sent and received coins from old to new and from new to new wallets. It's not a fork so the old still should be able to work with the new. It has for me on several differant platforms. If an exchange is having an issue you should contact that exchange.

I just tested sending some coins to Mintpal. My wallet confirms the send as does the network on wallet side. Mintpal show nothing. Seems mint pay is very lagged or has an issue perhaps changing to new wallet. Not sure. I have no coins on mint to try a send from there. Contact them to see what is up. I will as well.

Yesterday, I from bittrex Withdrawals to mintpal, now has 10 hours, and have not received.

Keep calm, probably Mintpal has some problem or they are making some maintenance in their cold wallets, I made several tests withdrawal and deposit from my personal PC wallet, for Bittrex, Crypsy and Poloniex, and it works perfect, I also have problem with Mintpal.

I just I tested on Bittrex with no issues both sent and received coins worked perfectly. I just Poloniex both sent and received coins worked perfectly. For both of those check your email to confirm the sent from there coins. They wont send unless you confirm it. XLB multipool who is on new wallet has sent coins to me as well on new. I test Bittrexx when it was on old wallet and it worked. It work just now too. It may be on new wallet at this point. Anyway I have both sent and received coins from old to new and from new to new wallets. It's not a fork so the old still should be able to work with the new. It has for me on several differant platforms. If an exchange is having an issue you should contact that exchange.

I just tested sending some coins to Mintpal. My wallet confirms the send as does the network on wallet side. Mintpal show nothing. Seems mint pay is very lagged or has an issue perhaps changing to new wallet. Not sure. I have no coins on mint to try a send from there. Contact them to see what is up. I will as well.

Hey all,  I'm really loving the coin and drive that's coming from the community.  I think this coin could really do well.  A few things that I think would really help:

A solid and consistent visual graphics theme:   I really like the theme that is displayed in the first page on this thread.  having this consistent across all social media would really help us out.  Currently the facebook theme seems a bit far off and the website imagery appears quite random.  It's good but could definitely be improved.

A true domain name solution: Currently it seems that the domain libertycoins.co is to replace libertycoin.co.  These are very similar and could cause a lot of confusion.  Is there any chance of buying out libertycoin.co?

A solid and consistent messaging platform: This should consist of a cause that sets XLB apart from the rest of the communities an about page on the website that displays something similar to the "A Declaration of the Independence of Cyberspace" on the old site.  Give the users something that they can really believe in.

A consistent social media strategy:  This can consist of what to post, when to post and where to share blogs, memes, outreach ect

Some kind of youtube presence:  Whatever this is it should be very high quality

A Solid user benefits outline: 3 simple points that set libertycoin apart and above other cryptos.  This could be things such as,

If you know the meaning of those lines then why did you ask in the first place?

I'm a noob here but I thought I read that was the total amount of coins allowed ever.  So after a million years or whatever there will be 2 trillion coins produced at 1% interest.  I think that number is when the POS will be over and done.

That value (150 million) is left over from SUPER's initial specs, prior to the recent fork. That line of code is innocuous. Read the thread, Polo-shill.

MAX_MONEY is non issue, this has been repeated multiple times in the thread.

At this point Busoni stuck his neck out and made a post on code he himself did not fully understand at all. Unfortunately for him his comments were incorrect and the code is clean, looks like he already knows this, based on his backpedaling posts once it was verified by other parties that it was incorrect. 

Its just Amateur moves, all new entrepreneurs make stupid mistakes like this early in their career, it either makes them or breaks them.

The take away here is, if you discover a "securtiy hole' prior to disclosing it publicly, one may review all the code that is affected in their software ecosystem. The entire process of disclosing security holes must be take serious[1], especially when you are dealing with high volume of BTC.  He could of just said, "we found out super coin has funky code, and upon further research we found out that 70% of the other coins listed on our exchange suffer from the same venerability, we will look into the matter". Off course if he the above statement  massive panic would ensue, and it would be difficult for poloneix recover, but not impossible. Tough decisions.

If busoni was acting in good faith of the community as he has repeated many times in this thread, then he would just clean up his OP, apologize and say that his initial comments were way off with his findings, it was dumb to post with out it being verified by multiple sources,  and that he did not hire an expert in to conduct the coder review. Or he can just ignore it, and pray that we all forget in a few days how unprofessional their exchange currently looks to the community.

OK, let me tell (or teach, for some) you how the total coin is calculated:

1st, look at this function

int64_t GetProofOfWorkReward(int nHeight, int64_t nFees, const CBlockIndex* pindex)

and this

int64_t GetProofOfWorkBonusRewardFactor(CBlockIndex* pindex)

1st function calculates the regular pow payout, and the 2nd calculates the superblocks.

Now, block 1 = 2.5 mil coins (was a mini IPO I think)
block 2 - block 19200: 512 coins/block
next 9600 (10 days) blocks: 256 coins/block
next 9600 (10 days) blocks: 128 coins/block
next 9600 (10 days) blocks: 64 coins/block
next 9600 (10 days) blocks: 32 coins/block
next 9600 (10 days) blocks: 16 coins/block
next 9600 (10 days) blocks: 8 coins/block
next 9600 (10 days) blocks: 4 coins/block
next 9600 (10 days) blocks: 2 coins/block
afterwards: 1 coins/block

now the pow will be cut off at 1-2 coins/block.

Next, look at the superblocks: superblock
   - Every 3 hours there will be a block with 4X normal payment (initial 2048 coins)
   - Every day there will be a block with 16X normal payment (initial 8192 coins)
   - Every 5 days there will be a block with 128X normal payment (initial 65536 coins)

So at initial phase, the 1 block day average coin is:
1 day = 960 * 512 + 8 * (2,048 - 512) + (8,192 - 512) + 1/5 * (65,536 - 512)
   = 491,520 + 12,288 + 7,680 + 13,004.8
   = 524,492.8 coins

Total = 524,492.8 * (20 + 10 * 0.5 * ( 1 + 1/2 + 1/4 + 1/8 + ... ))
   = 524,492.8 * 10 * (2 + 1) = 15,734,784 coins

This adds 2.5 mil mini IPO, total PoW = 18.2 millions.

On top of this, you can calculate the PoS, PoS is difficult to calculate precisely, but you can estimate max possible value. My estimate is that it is under 50 millions as devs of Supercoin said.

Introduction

With a market capitalization ranking of 61[1], the coin "42"[2] is advertised as the "Highest Priced Crypto Coin Ever"[3]. This high price is attributed to the coin's rarity, which is advertised to be limited to 42 total coins. Unfortunately, it looks like 42 coin and descendents thereof (like 8 coin) do not cap the money supply at the advertised number of coin. In fact, unlike most cryptocoins, the money supply of 42 appears to be unlimited.

Money Generation

In bitcoin and most descendents the money supply is capped algorithmically in the function that calculates the mining subsidy. This function is called GetBlockValue() in the source file "main.cpp". In the bitcoin code base, the source for this function is:

42 (and probably several descendants, such as uses a GetBlockValue() function like the following, taken from the 42 code base:

Except in a few cases (blocks 1-420, 4242, 42424, ...) all blocks will have the same reward of 0.000042 coin (ignoring fees). Notice that the 42 version of GetBlockValue() has no halving interval and makes no attempt to curtail coin generation at the advertised maximum of 42 coin. Without a geometrically decreasing reward value, the money supply will grow indefinitely.

For 42, the advertised coin maximum of 42 coin will be produced before block 1,000,000 (42 / 0.000042), or in about 1.33 years. But the existing 42 code makes no provision to stop coin production at that time.

MAX_MONEY

One part of the code for most cryptocoins that may be confusing to developers is the MAX_MONEY constant in the source file called "main.h". MAX_MONEY has two uses in the 42 code: (1) as a sentinel return value (which won't be discussed) and (2) to check some transaction values to ensure that they make sense. For the latter purpose, MAX_MONEY is used in the inline function called MoneyRange() in the "main.h" file:

This function simply checks to ensure that a value is not negative and does not exceed MAX_MONEY. The running total of money supply is not explicitly kept in the block chain.

The MoneyRange() function is used a few times in the 42 code. An arbitrary example is checking the the sanity of a transaction, as in the CTransaction::CheckTransaction() function within "main.cpp":

There is a huge misconception out there that MAX_MONEY sets the total coin count for a coin. This is false. MAX_MONEY sets the maximum amount of coins that can be sent in a single transaction over a network. It is customary to typically set this to the maximum coins that will be created but it is not necessary.

They are bullshitting you if they said that. So have many others. We also tested on Bittrex and Poloniex. The xlb multipool is on new wallet and buys coins from those exchanges and then pays the miners. Worked several times no problem.  I have sent and received coins from Mintpal using the community wallet. The source code is a copy with some mods to it. It not forked and actually uses the same exact network of wallets. So the old wallet and new wallet still see the same transactions. When the ano feature and pos change go then folks will have to commit to the new or old one as that will be a hard fork.

Changing the name means, you are launching a new coin...with all the coins minted. No exchange will add your renamed coin just like that. Especialy when the original coin is still there.

Creating a new coin from 0 is the best option. I would be interested in that as well, if it's possible to make a serious team.

No name change (that's up to Templar77)  and we no longer have anything to do with Libertycoin developments. Any assets we created with our own BTC will not be part of XLB. 

Templar77 has decided he wants to "keep his baby" and released a new wallet up date the caused orphans and forks on the exchanges and peoples wallets. Templar77 said "your are sheep and do my work". Wrong. We worked on this for over a month and spent BTC to save and run the coin. Templar77 was even offered a buyout. Refused. Myself and others decided that rather than help templar77 destroy it we would relent and switch to his wallet. Myself and a few others also decided to start our own coin. This would be a wholly new coin with nothing to do with XLB what so ever. It wont conflict with it. Libertycoin is still alive and in templar77's control. You can buy and sell your coins as long as you use his wallet. They value crash because of templar77's fork causing update. It's well documented when he did it and the ensuing chaos. The fate of XLB rest solely in his hands now.
