Hello users of bitcointalk, my team and I are planning to create an ICO related to solar energy, I would be glad to receive ideas outside the box for the crowdfunding.

I am a CEO of different projects that runs with FIAT currency so please do not try to tell me something I already know. I am here to hear like I said IDEAS OUTSIDE THE BOX, those that qualify will get merit and if the idea or advise is very good you will be invited to be part of the team.

The project consists in buy 12 solar plants that are already running and generating incomes in different countries. I have a LOI (letter of intent) already signed with the company that want to sell them.  You may ask why them want to sell? Simple, the core business of this company it to built the solar plants and then sell them. They are located in North, central and south America.

If we get to exceed the soft cap require for the acquisition of the solar plants, with the money we will construct new ones. We can buy as many as we can pay.

So, please I would be glad to give merit to your IDEAS OUTSIDE THE BOX to raise the money very fast in an ICO launching.

There are some electrical companies using transaction with blockchain technology.

It would be interested to read a whitepaper of your project.

I have seen something like this last October 2017, that was Earth Token.
If you want something to review, look at their developments and downsides.

That said ICO, was an ERC20 token from etherium network, while they offer non-mineable tokens for their investors, the offered service was renewable power source for mining which doesn't makes sense for a non-mineable coin.
The idea itself is good for "Rentable Hashes" but not as a tradable reward units called "tokens".

Undoubtedly, it's hard to establish something started from an ICO.

This is good idea to raise the fund through ICO, if technical ICO campaign perhaps many of bitcointalk member had known more detail and can share more samples. The project is interested and attracting me as my background mostly with energy and some related with solar energy. At the moment, I can share you below input :
1. As previously reply posting, there was earth token for comparative study with your subject. At current time, there is also other ICO relate with energy named XiWatt as fortunately I just joined in their Signature campaign. Perhaps their concept can be studied for further concept preparation, and seems the operational working similar with you on around America. In just less than 1 month, the thread as one indicator of crowd people involve, already lot of pages means many people are interested.

2. Currently there is an ICO developed to help project developers to raise fund namely Crowdcoinage, I see their concept is excellent by joining project developers and investors together for their mutual interest.
3. There are any other successful ICO such as Gibraltar Rock and also Current which has had reached their hardcap before the time targeted. Some method they have used to quickly raise the fund before timeline set.

If you are interested, I am available to discuss more by learning from several succeed ICO and in line with your business to be developed.

We want to analize more deep your coment.

Our goal is to give to the investors a coin or token based in a blockchain tecnology that is alredy running, they can trade with it in exchages, but each unit will also allowed them to receive the monthly earnings of the solar plants during the existence of the project, as 12 of them are alredy build and making profits each month in USD dollars, every one that have this tokens or coins will recive the proportional part of the earnings monthly, which means people do not have to wait long periods to see profits, for one month after the ICO ends they will see earnings, and we will send the utilities in FIAT or Cryptocurency the owner want, and for that we have to create an exchange for the project that will only accept our coins or tokens to monetize the utilities of the plants to the holders of the tokens or coins.

Like I said in the post, if we get more money we can build more solar plants as futurre projects.

We also plan to give oportunity to small investors who normaly can not acces to invest in this tipe of projects.

Hello, thanks for your coments, first I would like to give a short aproach to the project,

Please note that I dont recommend this! This is just my crazy idea in belief that few projects have used this strategy
launch a special sale before pre-sale with high minimum contribution, close in 3 days and said "sold out!" even the fact is not. dont forget to use a big microphone to announce it, so people will hear that your special sale got massive interest from investors. open your pre-sale, close before the date and say "sold out!" (again). put your ETH on the contribution wallet (if needed) so people would not know that you are abusing them. The main sale will be your main target to sell the whole token that are unsold during special sale and pre-sale. It is important to do wallet management nicely!
