While Canada and California are tackling Bitcoin legislation head on, the Swiss Federal Council has announced its move to the contrary: no law on digital currencies.

The most sensible solution yet. Bitcoin is not a problem that needs to be solved.

The NSA & Canada should take a leaf out of this country's book.

What's with the infatuation with "regulations"? Regulations don't stop anything, in fact, they make things worse. Bitcoin was not designed to be regulated, it can't and doesn't need to be regulated. Any attempt to regulate it will result in more dark wallets, dark cryptos & deeper web usage.
Regulations didn't stop the mortgage frauds by banks, libor, insider trading, drug laundry, arms dealing, bank collapses or any other fiat world fraud - it's because of all the over regulation that Bitcoin has become so popular & needed.

Stuff regulations.

Quoted for truth. Bit coin is trustless. All the things built on it should be trustless as well. Regulations are designed to prevent breaches of trust. They also tend to come from the least trustworthy people of all: government officials.

Bit coin does not need permission to exist.

My hats off to the Swiss.  It seems they are far ahead of the eight ball with regards to crypto-currencies.  Far ahead of the states at least.
