I found some patterns but it's fixed now =P

But ye, you can predict where it's going to be..

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

I sent.  I won.  Nothing received.

Is this normal?

I still have no confirmations on what I sent so I guess I have to wait?

Got it after four confirmations.  Thank you.

How does the referral system work? If someone plays the game through my referral link, am I immediately sent my cut?  Or do I have to go back to the site, enter in my payment address and cash out in some way?

A Personal Quote on BTT from 2011:
"I'd be willing to make a moderate "investment" if the value of the BTC went below $2.00.  Otherwise I'll just have to live with my 5 BTC and be happy. :/"  ...sigh.  If only I knew.

Your cut is sent out at the same time as their payment is confirmed... i.e. during a cron which runs every ten minutes. No need to specifically come back and withdraw.

What if their bet is .01?  Doesn't the bitcoind charge a .01 bitcoin transaction fee for values less than .01?

Everything is rounded to the nearest 0.01.

Nah, I've played Alex's games before.  He's legit and he's been a part of the community for a while.  The reason for the wait is because he has to receive confirmation of the payment (which can take a while.) Then, if you win, he applies the payment to your payment address.  This could, therefore, take time as well.

My payment is 6 blocks confirmed, but still not located. Tried refreshing, which didn't help.

Okay, let me know what address you paid to, and I'll send it back.

Thanks.

Edit: Or, wait 15 minutes and try again... It was sitting on 0 connections for a while after I restarted it, but it's gone back up to 100+ connections now so it should catch up on the block chain shortly.

In another thread ( http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=6526.msg147464#msg147464 ) about your other website bitcointoss.com you are quoted as saying:

Quote from: Alex Beckenham
when 100 BTC was added, this *increased* the possible payout pool, which in turn made *more* btc available to winners, which have subsequently won those coins.

Could you please elaborate on this? It sounds to me like the chances of winning are affected by the payout pool. If this is really the case, it's dishonest to claim a chance of 49% or whatever, if it really is "49% unless the payout pool can't pay the winnings". Does flipforbits.com work in the same way?

In other words: If I bet 100 BTC on flipforbits.com, do I have an actual 50/50 chance of winning? or is there some check in the code that says the chance of winning is zero if the prize can't actually be paid?

yeah, I'm wondering that as well, since I bet some larger bets that all lost, whereas my small bets all seemed about 50/50 more or less...
Then again I could just be unlucky (/stupid)
